Lately I've been craving some good shoujo mangas that are mainly set in high school. I've already read Hirunaka no Ryuusei, Ao Haru Ride (my personal favorite), Strobe Edge, and Orange. I tried to read Kimi ni Todoke since it's apparently very popular but I just can't get into it. I'm also currently reading Omoi, Omuware, Furi, Furare but it's not completed yet since it's started recently. So what do you guys recommend?

kaichou wa maid-sama - misaki, our protagonist, is a stubborn feminist that's the student body president of a former all-boys' school. misaki has a secret, which is that she works as a maid in a maid cafe. the most popular boy, usui, finds out that she works there and starts blackmailing her.

suki tte ii na yo - mei tachibana lives a life without any friends ever since elementary school. one day, she accidentally roundhouse kicks the most popular boy in the school, yamato kurosawa, and everything changes. yamato will try to befriend mei, and won't take no for an answer.

last game - basically a story of a rich, smart, popular boy named yanagi and a poor, yet smart girl named kujou. yanagi, had made it his life goal to defeat kujou in this "game" of theirs.

hibi chouchou - upon the entrance of high school, suiren has all of the boys looking her way, except for one. a refreshing and sweet love story about a shy boy, and a quiet girl.

    *edit

also, horimiya is also really good! i'm too lazy to write a short summary, but basically it's about a girl and a boy that have totally different lives after school, and they decide to bond over that.

Fruits Basket! Very cool, but it's a really old manga (90's if I'm not mistaken) so you'll need to borrow them from someone or in second-hand bookshops.
