I don't want any hate or fights or whatever. I'm not a Wannable nor do I pay attention to Wanna One, but everyone obviously knows that Kang Daniel is ridiculously famous in SK (along with the other members of course <.<).

So I'm curious, here's a question to Wannables or just Kang Daniel fans:
Can you see Kang Daniel creating a solo career for himself, fans-wise and talent-wise? Why yes or why no?

I don't want this thread to get closed down or anything, so no fights or (excessive) shading por favor ^^

I think he can have a good solo career,he has a big enough fandom to carry himself and he has good charisma. I think it all depends on the sort of music he releases tbh.

He has a big enough fanbase so if he went solo he would probably do fine.

I don't know enough about him to judge him on talent and all that, but I can't really imagine him going solo. He just gives me group member vibes.

TBH Kang Daniel seems like a social creature and would do best in a gorup. There are also more things a group can do together music wise that is harder for a solo.

I think he could survive as a soloist with his fanbase, but i see him more like...hmm he would be in a group maybe one of those groups where the 1 member is the focus, but you still need the other members so its more for him to interact with? you know?

I think going solo is his best bet tbh

He's a good dancer, his singing isn't amazing but he's stable plus he can rap. I can see him going far.

Daniel really needs a group to shine. He's not strong enough vocal or rap wise to be a solosit, so he needs at least someone to carry vocals. Even if a small group like what Wanna One did for Kangaroo (Daniel, Jaehwan, Woojin) that was a good balance for him. Also, I think he'd rather be in a group for the social aspect. He loves goofing around with others.

i think he’s better in a new group and that “new group” will be obviously famous because of him.

I think he'd do well as a soloist. He's got a lot of stage presence, and he's very popular and charismatic. His singing isn't outstanding, but that's true of many pop stars. He's still pretty good and he can always train to be better.

His fanbase will carry him for a while. Long term, I think his career will fizzle out quicker than expected. Honestly, I dont know him quite well. But for the little I have watched him, I dont think he is a standout in vocals/rap/dancing. If we compare him to someone like Chungha, he definitely a lot more popular, but imo, he is not as good in dancing and singing. I dont even think he is as charismatic as Chungha.

The boy can dance... breakdance is what caught everyone's attention on produce 101, but he majored in modern dance. He went to busan arts school, same one as BTS' Jimin.

Honestly, based on the clip you posted of him, I see nothing special. It might because I lived in NYC for a while and have seen way too many street dancers here... My opinion of kpop dancers are simply low in general in comparison to the dancers ive seen (especially hiphop/bboys) in New York.

I've seen better than king daniel too.
But I've also seen better than chungha, I don't see how she is better than him.

I didnt say she is better than him per se. I should have made it more clear.

All I am saying is the gap between Chungha and the FEMALE dancers Ive seen in NY is a lot closer than the gap between Daniel and the MALE dancers I have personally seen.

Its unfair to compare female and male dancers. I compare them in relation to their genders. In general, I believe female kpop dancers are better overall i comparison to the best dancers in the world than their male kpop counterparts.

That is why, in my view, Daniel is nothing special in my eyes. I mean in kpop standards sure.
To be fair, I am a BTS fan and I believe the same of Jimin as I do with Daniel. Both great dancers in kpop. They may be at the top. But that doesnt say much when you bring them and their skills in the global stage.

I think with good producion behind him, music that fits him and good MVs he could be a fine male soloist.

But, like some said before me, he seems to fit more a group.

Yes, i think he would do good as a solo artist, his career will still flourish, not just in music but in other entertainment, like variety, acting, mc of a show, his cf's, daniel will be around for awhile, hes way popular in korea, plus hes young, hes cute and has a great personality.
