    Longer version with guidelines

    1. No bashing, shading, insulting, bullying or calling out other users, artists, and/or AKP fandoms

This does not include organisations and/or companies. The public figures that represens these companies are still people though so bashing them is also not allowed. Ex. SM is trahs is allowed, SNSD is trash is not allowed, Lee Soo Man is trash is not allowed. Punishments for this will vary depending on the severity of what is said. Out anti bullying/ganging up on others rule still applies and will be enforced for people who like to antagonize users in multiple threads too.

    2. No hate speech and/or derogatory terms.
We realize politics can be controversial topic and as such can become heated at times. However as long as there is no blatant racsim/prejudice then it should be fine

    3. No inappropriate and/or sexual content.
This includes but not limited to pornography, sexualization of minors and gore. Pornography and gore will be deleted immediatly, sexualization of minors will give you an automatic warning point and your thread/post will be deleted. Threads surrounding trigger words and sexual violence discussions may be edited or removed. Repeated threads on the same subject will result in a verbal/WP. Any sexual threads must be placed in the 18+ section.

    4. No offensive/excessive trolling.
A joke thread is allowed every now and then when the joke is clear. However, joke threads or trolls with evidently offensive or inciteful undertones are not permitted. Multiple threads in a short span of time with the intent to troll are also not permitted and will be considered spam. Any such threads will be locked with a verbal warning for the first offense and a warning point for any thread thereafter.
Ex. (x idol) copied (y idol) and it's like they're both wearing vans = that is acceptable. (x idol) is ugly) = not acceptable.

    5. No baiting and or inciting fanwars and fights in general.
This includes shade written with the intens to provoke users/fandoms you don't get along with. The first instance will be deleted/edited and any thereafter will result in a verbal warning or warning point.

    6. No spam.
Spammers/spam bots will be banned and have their content deleted. It's fair game to comment on your own threads however if you comment multipme times for the sake of bumping up your thread then it is considered spam and will be deleted. If you're commenting on someone elses thread and post multiple comments with the clea intention og spamming it will be deleted. The same goes for threads. We'll take into consideration their content, how many, and how fast they're made. Also try to made the threads have some kind of content, so it isn't just there for no reason.

    7. No duplicate threads.
If another thread on the same topic has already been created yours will be deleted. If there already exists another thread within the same context of what you want to post then please add onto the preexisting thread, Users will only receive one verbal warning point for this and failpure to comply to rules will result in warning points.

    8. Post threads in the correct section
A small breakdown of the specifics Photoshoots, photo comparisons of idols, photo appreciation threads should be posted in the celebrity photos section. Survival shows, dramas, and varieties should be posted in the tv and movie section. Rumors (anything not verified) and scandals in general should be posted in the celebrity gossip. This goes for the kpop, jpop and cpop sections. If you have any questions regarding where your thread fits you can also ask a moderator. Like the duplicate thread rule will receive one verbal warning for the first infraction and failure to comply will result in warning points.

    9. Alternate accounts
You are allowed up to three accounts in total. Which means one main and two alternative accounts at most. And the alternative accounts may not be used for trolling and/or fighting/bashing etc. If you troll with your other accounts they may be banned and your right to have alts will be determined for the time being. You main will be punished for the rule breaks you have made on your alts accordingly to the given rules. If you use your alternative account while your main account is banned your alternative account will be banned for a year and your main will be given an additional warning point. The only valid reason for using an alternative whilst banned is if you want to talk with a moderator about your ban/warning points and any other action will be punished whethercommenting/liking or interacting.

    10. No antagonizing staff
Users are free to disagree and criticize moderation and teams however in a respectful and proper manner. If we delete/lock/ban/warn something/someone you have the option to question it in the ask a staff thread which is always linked in our signatures and/or direct message us about it. If you purposely antagonize the staff then it will be taken as intentionally breaking the rules and the post/thread will be deleted and you will be given a warning point.
Ex. I know this will get deleted.... However keep in mind constructive criticism is allowed and will be taken into consideration if posted in the right threads such as ask a staff member, feedback thread etc.

    11. Pinning threads
The rules for pinned threads will varies depending on the sections. However the lounge will mainly consist of important forum news. Users are still welcome to ask us about their threads and whether they can be pinned or not and we will look into it. For comeback threads the rules will remain the same. Two weeks prior to the comeback it can be pinned and can stay up until two weeks after. However the general rules for pinning a thread will be it has to be active, usefull for many users, relevant and open for everyone.

    12. Clickbait threads
Just like with the trolling rule if it is offensive or an exaggeration it will be edited. Continuous use of improper clickbait will result in verbal warnings.

    13. Bashing thread rules
The previous rules all still apply to the thread. So no defending/praising, quoting/referencing/tagging, bashing users (staff included), and no reporting unless a user breaks said rules or goes too far. Things like wishing death on people or using a mental disability as an insult will along with bashing users or staff get deleted and receive an automatic warning point. Failure to comply with the rules will be punished with following, verbals, warning point and thread bans. As in general it goes first offense = verbal warning, second offense = warning point and thread ban from the bashing thread, third time = warning points and longer thread ban. Also a general rule of thumb regarding reports on defending/praising. If the post is not suitable and would be considered bashing outside the bashing thread then exceptions can be made.
Ex. [insert fandom] sucks and they are just jealous of [insert group] = yes they are defending but they are also bashing however if it is more like, [insert groups] is amazing anyone who disagrees is trash = that is just plain praising and will be deleted.

    14. Mass tagging
Tagging friends, people related to the fandom, and /or users who have asked to be tagged for your threads is allowed. Exploiting this option will result in a verbal warning.

    15. Bashing AKP and promotion of forums
It is prohibited to bash AKP in the sense of giving no constructive criticism and only starting a mess. The mention of other forums is allowed, however when used to shade or bash AKP it will be moderated. Note the last bit depends on the circumstances, in case of any drama a temporary ban of all mentions might occur, there will be an official announcement if so.

    16. Defamation
When posting a thread with an unconfirmed rumor it should be posted in the celev gossip section. Once it's been confired you can then ask for it to be moved to the kpop section as verified news and a source link must be placed in the OP of the post. Using unconfirmed or crimes that have already been proved to be innocent of to bash an idol will be counted as defamation and will result in deletion. Some people may report something as defamatory/libel when the information isn’t libelous. So if someone post a thread about an ongoing scandal that isn’t confirmed to be either true or false then it isn’t defamation.

    17. Twitter drama and other sites
Twitter drama will be allowed but must be presented with an objective outlook so as to not incite any fights.

    18. Harsh opinions
Allkpop strives to be a public place for different views and thoughts, this includes harsh opinions. As long as users are not full on bashing idols their opinions can be negative and harsh pertaining to that idols artistry and lifestyle. Because allkpop is an open forum you are allowed to disagree with another users opinions but if it's apparent that you are trying to bait or incite fights then your post/reply will be deleted. Simply not liking another users opinions and attacking them for it will also result in your post/replies getting deleted. If you continue said actions you will be given a warning point so you can take your post getting deleted as an informal verbal warning.

    19. Derailing threads and appreciation threads
It is important to know we do not have a rule making appreciations threads untouchably. Users have the right to comment on any thread whether agreeing or disagreeing with said things and it is not derailing just for disagreeing or writing something not praising the given idols. However keep in mind to stay on topic and not derail threads by taking the discussion elsewhere than the direction of the thread.

If you see any violation of the rules please consider tagging current mods or reporting it since we can't see every problematic thread/post even if in PMs
