Just wondering, try to be honest and not lean automatically towards the 'songs'
For me it's mostly based on music, with 2NE1, F(x) and GFRIEND, I just love their songs and I know the majority of their discography by heart. I only tend to genuinely love girl groups for their songs first and then I go and find out about their personalities, but with boy groups I typically see their personalities first on varieties and videos online and then look into their music, most likely because companies tend to give boy groups a lot of exposure when it comes to varieties, and on social media a lot of the post's in my feed are about boy groups. So with boy groups it starts with personality and mostly personality, but girl groups, their songs are just too good so definitely their music.
The vibe they give me. The groups I get attached to really fast, I end up standing. It differs.
There aren't specific criterias for me to stan someone. There isn't really a reason why I stan Lovelyz and not Mamamoo. I just do.
(but if all their songs suck you definitely won't see me there.)
Combination of all of the above.
Combination of talent and music
if i stanned bts for jk then i would be a fake stan
bts music is great, and they are funny and soooo amazing and
sorry to sound cheesy
But they honestly are making a huge impact, not only in the music industry, but everywhere. They are the reason many people actually find a reason to be alive, honestly (my friend was considering suicide before i introduced her to bts and exo) and they are really inspiring
And i wanna be able to say that i loved them so much when bts becomes legendary history icons that people can look up to, like mlk jr and maybe even jesus christ o.o
I honestly stan CLC for both music AND personalities. That's pretty much the case for all my groups, save Mamamoo which is just for the music but I'm sure if I watched them in some V Lives or interviews or whatever it'd be the same.
i started following weki meki due to their charm
music did help them a little bit, but they have only had one cb and their next album could be shit so idc
ooh this is hard... i would say it's a combo of talent + personalities + good chemistry
mamamoo's debut song kept pulling me in -> saw amazing immortal songs performances made me stan so hard -> saw MMMTV and other variety stuff and fell in love with their personalities
Music and talent
then when i stan them i try to know their personalities and that's how i choose my bias in the group.
But if it's just the group i only based my judgement on their talent and their songs
(Let's be honest half of ya'll who voted for songs are just lying to yourselves but whatever)
Firstly, because of music. The first song of BTS I watched was No More Dream. The music - especially RM's part - alongwith the choreography left me Jungshook. Then I watched more title tracks and I was just really enjoying it. Spring Day really reeled me in. Beautiful, beautiful song that also showcased BTS's bond.
Then I watched their Bangtan Bombs, and I was just touched with their bond with each other. And also, it helped that they were just so funny and adorkable <3
First I look at their music... I have to like the majority if not all of their discography. After that, I look at their stages and MVs to see what vibes/aesthetics they're going for. While personality isn't required for me to stan a group, it certainly helps.
Stanning a group 101, my version
(If 1 doesn't satisfy me it would be kinda obstacle to stan that group)
Music, is a factor, but if the group's memberw have a bad personality i obviously won't stan.
music i like + personalities
Blackpink house (+their music).
Watch just one episode and fall in love with them.
Also their charisma onstage is insane, especially Jennie.
I will be a fan of a group for music and aesthetics but actively stan for personalities
Personalities are really important to me. How do the members get along, and sense of humour is really important to me.
Songs. The end. They can be substituted for completely different people with similar voices and I would know no difference. I don't have a bias nor a favourite group. I do have a favourite song.
