Captain Marvel 8/10
Good little scifi film about the search for life on other planets.
A little predictable but decent all the same.
BirdBox - 9/10.
Who hasn't watch this masterpiece?
Clichéd Japanese themed fantasy with Keano Reaves. The few good ideas are swamped by a rising tide of mediocrity as the film drags towards its predictable conclusion.
Objectively about 4/10 but I have a real softspot for swords and sorcery so 6/10.
Wild Rose (2019) - 8/10
A funny and sad drama with some truly great acting performances full of passion and emotion.
The story isn’t that original in concept and has some minor pacing issues, but it also has a lot of depth as it shows the struggle to balance your dreams with your responsibilities.
It has plenty of heart and toe tapping country music which keeps it entertaining and enjoyable throughout, although I felt a bit more could have been done with Glasgow and Nashville’s cultures and settings.
A Star is Born 7/10
Everything was fine about it but it was just a bit boring
Shallow though blew me away and the acting and chemistry was really what shone the most in this movie
Introduces a lot of characters just to kill them right off cause they only really develop 2 people but it was a great movie. I thought it was going to be a dumb nazi zombie movie but the zombies didn't show up til the very end. Loved it~
Mary Queen of Scots 8/10
I thought this was going to be a period epic but it played like journal entries and it was sadder than I expected.
A Prayer Before Dawn (2017)
Good prison flick - based on a true story. 7/10.
Captain Marvel - 7/10
Fighting with my family 9/10
I loved Florence Pugh as Paige the movie did leave some of Paige's other memorable moments out such as her NXT title reign but I still think It was an awesome movie with a lot of funny jokes and really awesome moments. It really lived up to the hype at least for me even though I did grew up as a wrestling fan I still think a non-wrestling fan can enjoy It.
Sicario day of the soldado
Didn't care much for the first one which was more drama than thriller and way too slow paced, this one was much better with still drama but more thriller and a better pacing
The Dirt - Netflix 7/10
I enjoyed this a lot more than Bohemian Rhapsody, even though the music isn't as good (not really a fan of glam metal). It seems to have gotten withering reviews but their lifestyle's made for more interesting drama.
US 9/10 great movie
Illang: The Wolf Brigade - 7.5/10
Competently done and I kinda understand the deviations they made from the source material (i.e. Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade) and why they did it but they probably could have cut a good 10 - 15 minutes to make the film tighter.
I watched Locke with @beanzies
gotta rate it a 6/10
Rampage - 7/10 - some days it's just fun to watch movies like this, really enjoyed this
Ida by Pawel Pawlikowki (2013)
recommend it highly !
The film is shot in black and white and in 4/3 format, as it could have been if it had been shot in 1962.
One of the most cleverly and beautifully filmed movie I have seen in a long time !!!
Some funny parts, somewhat enjoyable. Better than most superhero movies for me.
My god really? 9? I'd give it a 3 at best.
It made me cry so much
Glass - a fitting end to the trilogy, a little short on spectacle toward the end but entirely fitting with the world in which these kind of heroes/villains live. - 7.5/10.
