It's not exactly...a memorable song :/
Your ears must be damaged then, listening to Suzy vocals.
Honestly, I actually really liked the song after maybe the 2nd listen, it did lack a lot though. It really should've been much stronger as a solo debut, but other than that, the MV was pretty cool and unique, and the choreo (by my 1million baby Mina) was unique as well. Suzy herself just lacks a lot of emotion while singing, so you couldn't really feel anything from it.
I feel like I'm right in the middle.
Probably so lol.
It probably would have worked better as a side track. If anyone BUT Suzy had put that out, it probably wouldn't have charted, honestly. And that's only because she did not show any powerful vocals (Like Taeyeon's I), and it wasn't really a bop either.
It's simple but I love it
it's just boring
I think the song is nice, but I personally feel that Suzy doesn't have both the vocal ability not emotional ability for such a song. It's slightly out of her range and a more adept singer would be better- there's a lot of switching between chest/head voice, I hear a tint of straining and her pretty voice is unsuited to belting/the ad-libs. I love Suzy's voice on lighter, calmer songs (Dream was beautiful).
I like Wong Kar Wai.
I like you!
your description + point of view of this song... I must say, I digg it much. very insightful + vivid. thank you. I liked the song before + your retelling of it made me want to revisit it + a few other tracks from the album. I can respect + appreciate your imagery + depth of feel for the track.
Glad you like the song too. It seems we're outnumbered though lol.
But I always remember what my father always told me:
The number of individuals holding a conviction is not indicative of its validity.
So there's that lol.
Fragility and vulnerability are a part of the human experience.
We all feel it at times.
This song's exploration of those themes is one of its strengths.
I guess I can perhaps understand people wanting more upbeat and optimistic selections though. That's of course their prerogative.
Maybe it was vocally weak song. She slayed Pretend but something in this lacks and its ofc her vocals
I don't hear it, but I'll give you a like for answering.
I was revisiting this thread and saw I liked your post but didn't respond.
Anyway, thanks for the detailed response. That's what I was looking for.
I love this song the chorus especially.
It isnt as hard hitting as it could be but still a good song.
Thanks for the detailed response.
Suzy is hot. That's all that matters.
