Yass I know I made a typo in the title
Wait a minute, I thought KPOP was still banned in China? Does it mean they lifted it now?
honestly no idea
I think it was lifted a few months ago. Or at least the beginning of the year
I was a hardcore RaNia stan for their "original" lineup and even their "redebut" lineup, but honestly I quit. This group just needs to end. Hyeme deserves so much better too.
theres a brazilian now wtf this groups should have disbanded after di, tae and jooyi left
From the screen background on the video, this is a Korea-China economic relations cultural night performance. I haven’t been keeping up with the ban but this probably wasn’t broadcast on TV. China temporarily banned anything not related to patriotism for the country ahead of its 70th founding anniversary.
Did a quick search and here’s an article about the Weihai culture night. Guess you can Google translate. Not really saying anything important, just some consular people in attendance.
I appreciate the fact they actually had the new lineup re-record the songs instead of having them lip sync the original version. But now I can tell (quite clearly) that the original RaNia lineup had some good ass vocals. Not only did they have a real good main vocal (Jooyi) but Riko, T-ae and Xia were pretty strong vocals as well. They pulled off the songs really well. The new members sound too weak imo.
