If i include all the daesangs which means literally the most important prize, the numbers would be higher mainly for the biggest groups such as SNSD or Exo, but i don't find it fair to compare a daesang in the SMA to the main prize of the Korean cable tv awards lmao. If some shows such as AAA keeps growing and become important i may include them, but not now. -The date of the daesangs aren't when they receive it. It shows what is being awarded. People should stop asking for separation of daesangs based on gender because it is evident that you win daesangs regardless of the gender looking at the OP. There is a reason why SNSD is #3 alongside Big Bang & 2NE1 is #7 alongside TVXQ for the most daesangs. Big Bang & TVXQ are two of the greatest korean boy groups of all time just like SNSD & 2NE1 being two of the greatest girl groups. Question other circumstances why your faves are not winning daesangs rather than deflecting the topic to "gender criteria".
I wonder why MMA decided to leave out the Record of the Year daesang this year. BTS now have 34 daesangs from the Big 5 award shows. I think they will snatch 2-4 more from GDA/SMA and maybe 1 from the KMA. For a total of 36-39 daesangs after this award season is over. Next year, I can see IU taking 2/3 daesangs at MMA since she will most likely come back first quarter of 2021.
