Thought I start a thread where we can recommend local delicacies from our home countries.
    I'll start with 2:
    Chicken rice:
    chickenrice_566x424_fillbg_1b71b0de73.jpg
It's fragrant rice with steamed chicken. believe me, it's anything but bland.

    Laksa:
    images.jpeg
A broth containing Southeast Asian spices, coconut milk and some chili oil. With cockles and noodles, this is irresistable.

PS: Our food is better than Malaysia's. Period. LMAO.

This would have to be most popular filipino dish I know. It's called adobo.

And I'm just craving for green mangoes with a spicy shrimp paste dip. Unfortunately, mangoes are out of season.

Palestinian/lebanese national dish (or one of them at least, haha). It's is called Ma'lube and it is rice, with lots of good stuff in and on it.. Typically eaten with a good salad and some garlic yoghurt. its so damn good

this is the salad it is typically eaten with (or else it would be blasphemy, lmao)

if anyone has ever tried middle eastern cuisine, they must have stumbled upon Tabbouleh. It's a rich and juicy salad consisting of parsley, tomatoes, lettuce, green onions, bulgur and loads of lemon, olive oil and salt. It is so damn good, I could eat this all day all night

    Best food, don't fight me.

Y'all can put a bunch of shit in it but you'll almost always get sausages and potatoes. It's a type of stew thing, and I can vouch that it's delicious.
