A bit late but I found this really interesting. Top 50 2015 Japan concert attendences compared with 2014, compiled by a reputable Japanese company.

"Every year popular magazine Nikkei Entertainment releases a series of Power Rankings which arrange musical artists and other celebrities according to varying different criteria such as familiarity or interest. Keeping with tradition, the magazine’s December issue contains its yearly survey on concert attendance in Japan, ranking acts based on the overall amount of people whom attended their performances over the course of the past year."

2015 rankings for kpop groups (whole rankings obv. includes mostly Japanese artists)

    6. Tohoshinki (TVXQ) – 786,000 attendees – 16 concerts (49,125 per concert avg.)
    2014: 691,000 attendees

    8. BIGBANG – 708,000 attendees – 14 concerts (50,571 per concert avg.)
    2014: 927,000 attendees - 29 concerts (31,965 per concert avg.)

    11. 2PM – 455,000 attendees – 30 concerts (15,166 per concert average)

    12. EXO – 445,000 attendees – 13 concerts (34,230 per concert avg.)
    2014: 318,000 attendees - 14 concerts (22,714 per concert avg.)

    26. SUPER JUNIOR – 288,000 attendees – 21 concerts (13,714 per concert avg.)
    2014: 275,000 attendees - 5 concerts (55,000 per concert avg.)

    47. CNBLUE – 181,000 attendees – 18 concerts (10,055 per concert avg.)

I expected TVXQ and BB but suprised by 2PM and EXO kicking it up there :D and CNblue getting on there too :)
I kinda expected to find SNSD and Shinee up there though after the 2014 rankings:

308,000 attendees - 18 concerts (17,111 per concert avg.) for SNSD
254,000 attendees - 33 concerts (7,697 per concrt avg.) for Shinee

2PM isnt surprising to me. J-HOTTESTS are the only ones who actually give them the love they deserve.

Well OP is you followed Shinee and SNSD you would know that Shinee only had 2 Tokyo Dome concerts in Japan last year and SNSD only had concerts in Japan in December and this thing was released in November.
So it is not surprise they aren't on this list.

Why so defensive lol. I said I'm suprised they werent on the list. I never said I'm suprised at their low attendencd like you suggest o_O I would assume they would have been on the list because SM would want another 550k attendences combined like in 2014.

I only said if you followed Shinee and SNSD activities you wouldn't have been surprised that Shinee and SNSD weren't on list because then you would have known that Shinee only had 2 concert in Japan last year and that SNSD only had concerts in December. Like if you know that you wouldn't have expected them to be on this list.

You're not getting what I mean...
    >in 2014 they get 550k together
    >in 2015 SM decides not to have them tour properly again and get another at least 500k tickets sold
    >I am suprised
Thats as basic as I can put it...

    Ok.

When you said "I kinda expected to find SNSD and Shinee up there though after the 2014 rankings:"

I thought when you looked through 2015 ranking for the first time you expected to see Shinee and SNSD there because they had such a high attendance in 2014 ranking.

That is why I said if you followed Shinee and SNSD and knew that Shinee only had 2 concerts and SNSD only had concerts in December you would have never expected to see them in 2015 rankings even though they had really high total attendance in 2014 ranking. You would have never been surprised that they weren't in 2015 rankings.

I forgot SNSD was barely active in Japan last year.

I need more Japanese comebacks from them ASAP.

J-Hottests are the best. Nobody in Korea appreciates them anymore.
