We don’t have control of the news site or the comments. We only moderate the forum.
We don’t allow user name changes anymore because of tech issues. Keep in mind only two alt accounts can be allowed per main account. So basically you can only have 3 accounts in total.
Is it possible, in the future you guys are able to fix these tech issues?
Username changes won’t be a possibility anytime soon
It isn’t a tech problem but rather a restriction until further notice from the administration
No issues so far.
I appreciate yah
I'm sure you guys have already thought of this, but I figured I'd suggest it anyway.
Have you ever thought of a pinned section for enlisted idols? There are so many who are currently serving or will begin to serve in the next few years, and it might be nice for the fans who are struggling to have a public place dedicated to the idols to help them through the difficult years of missing them.
All good if this won't work, or if no one else likes this idea, I just thought I'd suggest it anyway.
Thank you and keep up the wonderful work.
This is actually a really good idea.
Btw, do you mean like a thread where fans of enlisted idols can hang out?
Oh thank you.
Yeah, or a pinned section for threads for individual idols or idol groups, like the comeback section.
Or however you guys decide to do it. I'm not sure how it will work, just somewhere where fans can get support form their fellow fans when they begin to miss their idols a lot.
I know a lot of people don't go in the artist section so don't use the individual artist threads or group threads for support.
The bashing thread has really become a place where people come to defend or praise their faves. I understand we are meant to be reporting these posts but there is an awful ton of them and it feels like people are possibly not reading the rules.
Ranges from your normal defending to 'bash at people who underestimate (insert idol here)'
Yea I know its getting a little more out of hand now
Sometimes its difficult for us to know where a post stands cause theyre not all straightforward. When we revamped the rules we did write that as long as it had some bashing/shading it could stay up.
If theres any specific post though link them please and I'll take a look
Dear moderation team of Allkpop;
Please look over this article without personal judgement and decide if it is suitable for discussion. Apparently it’s been seen as hurtful, or unpleasant for allkpop.
The same commenters are harassing us , based on your observation please look over it and get back with us at email@example.com our head team manager at KPOPfanPop!
Promotion, dude, you're piggybacking off AKP. If anything AKP should put some ad charges to your article. If I'm remembering correctly, a few months back even a kpop sub-reddit closed your topic for the very same reason.
I don't know if they are still doing it but CeluvTV is guilty of this as well. They post an article with videos off their YouTube channel.
I’m a fan of ALEX , but if being a fan means self promotion then , I will leave allkpop along with the KPOPFANPOP Team. Self promotion only makes sense if I am the artist in the article.
It’s actually every article we post...please note that.
Where did I say self-promotion my dude? I said promotion. But hey, I'm just lowly commenter here. The mods here might properly guide you with whatever it is you need and in the case of your 'articles'', might get some positive approval from the community for a change.
Ms Soh , and I believed based on your comment you had once indicated I was ALEX , himself. I will , wait for a moderator to give me there guidelines so that the KPOPFANPOP team can have a success with allkpop , thank you !
I'm sorry but we don't have any authority over the main article section
You would have to talk to the admins for that or I don't know if they have moderators there but them if they do.
Hi losers I need to speak to ur manager about a coupla thingos
I believe that some of the threads pinned in the lounge should've been in community news instead. For example, whenever there are news about changes, mods resigning, mods joining etc etc I notice that it usually gets pinned in the lounge. From its description it says that the lounge is a space for general discussion, while community news...well the name speaks for itself. I think it would be more neat if we instead put all news regarding teams, changes and updates in community news and kept the lounge solely for random threads. That way we can pin some of the most active threads in the lounge, such as the bashing thread, L4L thread and so forth without it getting really clogged up.
I do agree and will bring it up to the mods but the answer so far has always been the same.
Admins wanted to keep most threads that get pinned in the lounge to be mod information and updates. Some of those threads (like the resigning threads) will be getting unpinned soon.
As for pinning any other threads, bashing thread won't be pinned because admins don't want the focus of the forum to be bashing, no matter how active the thread is. Other threads can be brought up for discussion to be pinned. Anything that gets pinned in the lounge that isn't a mod update goes through a more stricter process, as opposed to pinning in the other sections.
