Since everyone was so concerned when Egotistic came out and didn't chart well compared to other top ggs i thought it willbe a good idea to bring this flops out. Almost 2 months since this came out and they're still at melon's top 10. Such flops, huh?! 7 months at top 10 and counting Spoiler Aaaaaaand Rainy Season (aka Summer's B Side masterpiece) is still holding strong at the top 100. Who said ggs ballads always flop? Support these nugus please, they need help asap!!
Mamamoo is great. Their album design is simple and the best in the business. They are some of the most entertaining performers in kpop and obviously one of the best overall singing groups. Underestimate them at your own peril.
Oh yeah, i love the design of every cover so far and i'm living to see the full 4 season project artwork all together with the four respective colours.
They've done well. I still wish their company was more strategic about getting their album sales up. But this year has been good for them. Not just with Starry Night, Egotistic and Rainy Day but their CFs are piling up and individually they've all had some nice successes (Solar being the first gg member in the third gen to host solo concerts; Hwasa's huge hit collab and her breakout as a variety star etc.). Also, they're finally touring and promoting internationally, with a promise to have an even bigger tour next year. They're killing steadily -- maybe not at the top of the charts all the time but solid returns all around. Let's enjoy their explosive concert tour hehe!
exactly people think you need these flashy designs or to change it up constantly to have an attractive album cover but Mamamoo does the best by sticking to one basic format and changing the color up. When you have all of them it is very visually satisfying. Like I love Twice but their albums are either terribly designed or great there is no inbetween. For instance Twicetagram is one of the worst designed albums i own.
Yeah, it is really difficult to have so many successful releases when they are too close with each other. So far Mamamoo and Twice are the only groups that've pull this off recently so i can't complain about them not topping every chart when the competition is so intense. They've done really good indeed. I just hope they don't get too much work and have some time to rest. I'm also still waiting for Hwasa's solo debut too. Hope it comes up later this year.
