I love both these albums tbh. Pink Tape is critically one of the best, and The Perfect Red Velvet is the best from RV's discography.

Don't hold a candle to MADE though.

F(x) has sadly given up but maybe one day RV will release the GG answer to MADE.

And you proceed to list achievements?

MADE is one of the most successful eras of all time, but imo, Alive/ Still Alive beats MADE in terms of music by a huge margin.

Musical Taste Is Subjective. It is undeniable this album sold well and there for can be assumed by a large portion of people to be good. But think about it. If some one buys more than one album. They are buying it not because it is their favouirte album ever..or else they would only have 1 album...they are buying it because it is good, or because whether its good or bad they want to support the artist. Sales do not neccisairly equate to a song being the best. Though it does tie strongly into the fact that the songs are most likely high quality, it cannot be said definitively that they are the best. SImply due to not enough information on te motivation for said sales. And back to my first point, taste is subjective :p So it may be the best ti you but not to me.

I'm on the opposite, "One of the most overrated K-Pop albums ever released". Care to change my mind?

The achievements and numbers, sure. Indisputable. But otherwise, MADE in MY honest opinion was not that good.

Best can be defined in many ways. I'd say collecting a whopping 105 awards - many of them critical - is a pretty good gauge of quality.

Alive/Still Alive were iconic, but MADE was the what BIGBANG's entire artistry was leading up to. It was a culmination of their best. Each and every one of them shone - you could tell how this group was made of artists who excelled as a group AND had the talent and charisma to make it as a soloist.

It was the perfect way to say goodbye. :waterr:

Oof, what would you say makes it overrated?

I have never seen an album whose B-sides were this celebrated and adored. In many kpop albums only the title tracks are good, while the rest of the album is stuffed with underproduced filler tracks. The concept of an album with 10 songs each having title-track levels of achievement is pretty awesome to me.

The diversity in this album though. You have balladbang with If You, you have chill popbang with We Like to Party, you have absurdistbang with Bae Bae and Sober, you have Partybang with Bang Bang Bang...and finally you bid them good bye after 11 years with Flower Road, a song written for fans telling us we can leave if we want but they'll wait for us.

    Ugh, I could cry.
