Lai Kuan Lin is facing more controversy. The former Wanna One member was previously the subject ofcriticism for smoking and spitting on the street, and one fansite also alleged he was in a romantic relationship, which he denied. On November 25, a Chinese netizen believed to be a former staff member working for Lai Kuan Lin made a number of accusations against the idol star. Lai Kuan Lin is currently in a lawsuit with Cube Entertainment to terminate his exclusive contract as he argued his parents didn't know the label transferred its management to a third party. However, Cube asserted they had received the consent of both Lai Kuan Lin and his parents. Though the lawsuit is still ongoing, Lai Kuan Lin has since been active in China. The alleged former staff member wrote on the lawsuit, "I seriously thought he was an acting god when he said he was deceived by a Korean. He lied saying, 'Unfair contract. I was cheated, and I signed.' He created a bad relationship between two companies in two different countries. He also made it so that the company's Chinese artists couldn't get any work in China. He did that, and then he would post on Weibo as if the whole world should feel sorry for him. The one people should feel sorry for is his lawyer. After a few trials, the lawyer then found out the truth. This is the first kid in this industry that I've hated so much." On Lai Kuan Lin's dating life, the alleged former staff stated, "When he was in a relationship, he went on interviews and said he wanted to marry soon. Before filming, he would come in with hickeys on his neck and chest, so he wore a turtleneck. Everyone in the industry would know this?" The poster concluded, "He lied to those around him that he was deceived by a Korean person, and he gained sympathy. Why can't Cube Entertainment artists promote in China? The lawsuit against Cube is based on lies. He swindled us thinking Chinese people won't know Korean." Lai Kuan Lin has also been accused of living with and having a romantic relationship with a female staff member, demanding gifts from fans, having a bad attitude towards staff members, cursing at fans, giving gifts from fans to friends, and more. His lawyer has since released a public statement of their intent to move forward with legal action against those spreading the rumors. Not gonna believe it just because “fans” are having their blood vessels pop over someone who is grown as fuck was smoking
To begin with, I don't know when will Kpop fans stop acting as if these idols are saints who can never do any wrong, and if it is wrong, it's the company at fault. Even if it's the company at fault, at least try to be neutral first. More than half the times these so-called "babies" and "angels" are nothing but assholes in real life and you do nothing but enable them. I won't name examples but you know who.
People were worshipping this bland boy when he is in Produce 101 just because they find him handsome. I never wanted to see him in final line up because he can't rap, sing, dance and even can't speak proper Korean. If it is true then so unprofessional for him to lie his company, not obey his contract. Also allagedly dating with someone that 10 years older than you since last year when you are not legal. Smoking, spitting streets during pandemic. Supporting China govermant in Hong Kong protests when he is from Taiwan. Such an irresponsible personality.
Shouldn’t the older person be held responsible for dating an underage and obviously immature guy instead of him?
If all of this is true (the Chinese industry is famous for running elaborate smear campaigns against rising stars like what happened with Xiao Zhan) then I can’t say I’m surprised. His lawsuit with Cube always seemed sus based on rumors that Guanlin and his dad were both present when he signed an artist contract with them.
I also saw this right now, I think it might be good to share it in here: His law firm says the allegations are not true, they are still working with Guanlin and it was breach of contract of Cube that transfer his rights to a third party company.
I wouldn’t be surprised if rumors are made up too. Again, the Chinese industry is crazy. Companies will run smear campaigns on competing rising actors/actresses rather than media play their own stars. It’s part of the reason why it’s so hard for young actors to come up organically and why most of them need a prior fandom from promoting in Korea or going on a survival show.
Yes, it is an anon post so it might be a lie that created by fans that about current situation or some people who try to damage his reputation. Also I don't know the content of his contract but the thing that Cube done is not seem so lawful. Even their parents were presents during contract signed because they are foreigners they might not release how serious some of the clauses of contract.
Once the s**t hits the fan , then it's all diarrhea from there. Alleged former staff member, isnt it always alleged, lol, I guess I can become an alleged staff member and right crap about any idol, lmao.
