I only count the Grand Prizes from 2007, and 2008 for Golden Disk (in 2007 they gave the prizes to irrelevant people).

People who received Grand Prizes earlier, like Cho Yongpil (too many to count during the 1980s) or TVXQ (before 2007) are not included.

    ---

2008 - Jewelry (One more time) from Golden Disk (Star Music)

    2009 - 2PM (Again and Again0 from MAMA (JYP)

2010 - 2AM (Can't let you go) from Golden Disk (Big Hit) [2AM was under Big Hit's control during their height)

2010 - MissA (Bad Girl Good Girl) from MAMA (JYP)

fast forward 8 years (Cho Yongpil again, does not count - he won too many to count during the 1980s)

2018 - IU (Through the night) from Golden Disk (Loen)

Except Jewelry and Iu, all three singletons at least had something to do with JYP.

And IU is debatable, since MAMA might now try to claim that her Lifetime Achievement Award from MAMA, received when the singer who liked to post a picture with a fish was 21, could be considered as a Grand Prize.

Again, five acts won a single Grand Prize which is considered legitimate by foreign fans during the entire Kpop era.

the difference between IU and everyone else is that she's still active and at the height of her career. since everything you say turns out to be wrong, anticipate IU winning more daesangs years down the road. I can see her pulling a cho yongpil. I hope you'll still be around to see it. :D

An admin has an axe to grind against me, but I stayed there for 3 years so it is time for me to return to my original venue in earnest.

Yes, given the state of Kpop, it seems Kpop's Least Internationally Relevant Singer (KLIRS) might win more Grand Prizes in the future, eventually facing people who were NOT born when she began singing.
