This thread was inspired by a video I watched on Youtube ~ You will now get to a hand full of Koreans who are living in Japan and work there as musicians Number 1: THE CHARM PARK His is 32 years old but his real name is unknown. As far I can guess is that his surename could be Park acording to his stagename. He was born in South Korea, but grew up n Los Angeles. It's said that he made a band with some friends in high school, who used to be Japanese and made him liking the Japanese culture and thaught him the Japanese language. After he finished high school and all his friends went different ways, he made a new band also again with only Japanese people, but the difference to his privious band was, that he only sung in Japanese, even tho he is fully Korean. After he finished college at the age of 23 he made a trip to Japan and really liked it over there, so he decidet to move to Japan has he was 27 years old. In Japan he works as singer, songwriter and producer. Cause he is Korean and loves to make music for different people, he also worked with different Korean artists and produced for example a song for the Korean artist Gray. THE CHARM PARK is curently signed up to the most famouse Japanese company called AVEX. Number 2: CHANMINA Chanmina is a 21 years old Japanese-Korean vocalist and rapper. Her real name is Mina Otomonai. Acording to her stagename some people guess her Korean name would be Chanmina. Mina is fluently in Japanese, Korean and English. She was born in South Korea and lived there till she was 3 years old. After this she used to live in the US. After it she visited primary school in Korea and went to middle school in Japan. She almost wanted to go back to Korea for high school, but her friends made her stay in Japan. In 2016 she than debuted under Victor Entertainment. Later on in 2017 she changed to Warner Music Japan and she also colaborated with P.O and U-Kwon from Block B. In 2019 She released a song wich is half in Korean. Number 3: Moment Joon Moment Joon is a Korean Rapper. His age aswell as his real name are unknown. He used to live in LA before coming to Japan. It's said he wrote songs and made his own mixtapes that he sold to people from his school who suportet his music. Later on he decidet to study the Japanese language, because he liked the language so much, but instead of going to a course at the university in LA, he went to study in Japan. He said about himself he only went to study in Japan instead the US to escape his strickt Korean parents. Moment joon himself said he begun to work as a musician in Japan only cause after he build up his own student council at university and people started to like to hear him talking, he thought if he could bring up his messages better if he would sing about what he has on his mind, since he allready knew how to write songs. He also said if he feels frustrated he often composes songs that contain Korean and the more frustrated he gets, the more English he also ad to his self writen songs. Trought the fact that Moment Joon is Korean, he also worked with different Korean people. One of his song was also produced by Chacha Malon. Number 4: JOONHO&GYUMIN In 2013 the Korean TV programm MBC auditioned a lot of people living in Japan for their project to make their first own selfmade JPop-boygroup. In 2014 the Japanese-Korean JPop-boygroup called BEE SHUFFLE who used to be under Universal Music Japan than debuted with having 3 Korean and 2 Japanese members. Their debut song was in Japanese, Korean and English. In 2017 they also produced a fully Korean album, wich is the first ever fully Korean album brought out by a JPop-boygroup. Later that year BEE SHUFFLE disbandet. It's said that Minsu went back to Korea, but its unclear what the Japanese members Jun and Shouta are doing now. Joonho&Gyumin who are Korean, born in Korea, 26 years old, but raised in Japan are still as musicians active. They debuted as a duo in the end of 2017. Both are also extremly famouse on TikTok with over 1.2 million follower.
