Look at Joy's teaser: Someone with box braids: I'm not against calling out idols for appropriating, especially with black culture and I'm aware that it happens frequently in Kpop. PERSONALLY, I'm not one to be against idols using different hairstyles i.e. dreads or box braids but I understand why others would be defensive about it and I support them. But in Joy's case it's starting to piss me off seeing people call her out for 'stealing their culture' when she CLEARLY isn't. It almost seems like it's become a game on Twitter to see how many idols they can cancel but the main problem I have with this is that it only desensitizes the whole issue of 'cultural appropriation' and calling people out for it.
