It's just a fking hairstyle that's been used and abused since the beginning of time He looks hot AF in it and I applaud him for standing up for himself other people would just shut up and wait for their label to issue apologies
Glad he stood up for himself I don't think he was disrespecting another culture or mocking it. SJWs need to pipe down and learn what real "appropriating culture" is.
This is not the first time an idol made a mistake in hairstyle, and it's not that the others got away from it. They were called out to certain extent, too. But I think what aggravated Jackson's situation was his post in IG. He could have at least stayed mum for a while if he does't want to apologize but he practically threw himself under the bus by being stubborn and speaking out instead. (- -)
Okay Ive had enough of this If this was a YG artist they would be dragged to hell and back, but because he isn't, then its because SJWs are asses? Bitch you don't even know the reason why some of us are mad. If you've never been discriminated then don't fucking act like you know shit.
If i dont mistake every idol use dreadlock get negative response just like Taeyang last year. So, it is just normal response because dreadlock really one of black people culture.
First wrong thing you did is actually go into tumblr. That place is filled with hateful social justice warrior that even got a normal fan art loving kid leave the community just because kid rarely draw a plus sized character from an anime. So my advice, never go to tumblr if its something sensitive. Is it wrong to wear dreads? Who knows really. My perspective on dreads is actually from a Balinese culture where their pubescent daughters wear them for religious purposes. They don;t have limitations on who can wear it because its something they share. Even in Jamaica where the roots of dreads came from, a lot of Jamaicans are actually pretty open in sharing their trends but I am not Jamaican, not Black, not Balinese, I dunno which is the true culture of dreads itself. Like if I go to Jamaica and they are cool, sure why not, its a cool hairstyle. If I go to the states and it can offend someone, ok I won't wear it. It really is as easy as that, no need to fight around really. Thus why if people want to defend Jackson, its really not proper to call out the culture that is offended by it, you're actually making it worse. They have reasons to be offended, and others have reasons not to be offended. Accept such difference and be done with it. Anyway, I think the problem escalated because he actually replied. I sometimes think Jackson can be ignorant too on cultures, like the way he kept pandering the Koreans on their 'age system' when its a culture Korea have adopted since forever. At the time, when he calls out JB for being 'older' in a video or when he disagrees that BP's Jisoo is the same age as him and Jinyoung, those I fans agreed with him, worse is that they added more by saying Korean age system is bullshit, taking crap on Korean's culture. Jackson doesn't realize what he said made his I fans be racists towards Koreans, towards JB who stood by his culture, towards Jinyoung who accepted BP's Jisoo as the same age. I have problems with him before because if this, because of the words he chose and I think the fact that he answered this time with very unapologetic tone is what made people mad, not because of the dreads itself.
All these people getting offended by non blacks wearing dreads should never go to any music festivals or watch metal music videos (just some kinds). Non black people have been wearing dreads for decades and it only became a problem last year lmao.
So sad that black people are calling other black people ''coon's'' because they think jackson didn't do anything wrong. Such a toxic mentallity.
You know what's even more disgusting, Koreaboo made an entire article bashing jackson and calling him a racist and a bigot
If you wanna bash and drag bigbang i'd suggest going to the bashing thread either way it may be time for you to stfu
Things that are not racist: Styling your hair in a way that is commonly associated with a different ethnicity Things that are racist: Having a problem with someone of one ethnicity styling his hair in a way commonly associated with a different ethnicity - implying that he shouldn't be allowed to wear his hair that way because of his ethnicity/race.
They say cultural appropriation, yet they are claiming only blacks can have dreads ignoring the long history of dreadlocks. From India, to Egypt, Celts, Vikings, Germanic tribes HECK even some Greeks had dreadlocks. I thought of this on the way home long and hard and never put the cultural appropriation to it. This is a good example of what real cultural appropriation is like. Ignoring history and saying it is only a black thing. I have said before what you said Nicklaus in bold, but since i am white that automatically makes me really racist. After all it's not racist if it's against a white person.
Oh my lord.... My following list is about to be at zero and my block list is about to go from 0 to 100 with the amount of ignorant fuckers I'm seeing. Damn y'all just don't get it. How many times do black people have to explain this to you dumbasses? God this makes me sick to my stomach.
