I attended 2 catholic schools(USA) that had required uniforms, and it was basically common sense for girls to wear shorts under the skirts. Nobody told us officially, but you see everyone else has shorts on, so you follow what everyone else is doing. Girls also had the option to wear pants, but most people chose the skirt instead and still wore athletic shorts underneath. Is this common in most places when you have a uniform? Cuz for example, I hear stories about perverts in Japan taking upskirt photos of high school girls' underwear, so is this a normal practice or not to wear shorts under uniform skirts?
there's a catholic school right near my school and all the girls i see just wear their skirts without shorts or pants under them. but my friend who goes to another catholic school said that everyone there just be wearing sweatpants under their skirts when they're cold
It's 50/50 really depends. Most our schools here (UK) have school uniform Girls are more inclined to wear safety shorts in a normal school (mixed with boys and girls) But in girls school it's a 50/50..I always did in my girls school but the girls liked to take the piss and lift each other skirts for fun =_= But we also could wear school trousers if you didn't want to wear a skirt, in winter we would wear black or blue cotton or wool tights with our skirts in winter.
I have friends who wear them for safety and that's understandable. It's normal. Lucky, where I'm from they aren't allowed to wear sweatpants even during Winter. I seriously felt bad for the girls during cold days back in high school...
Pretty much every girl in my school would wear safety shorts under their skirt, not just to protect themselves from the creepers, but also from accidental exposure from wind gusts (there was one part of the school between two buildings that was like a wind tunnel some days), and tripping. It's becoming more and more prevalent especially as more and more creepers come to light.
No. In my country 'safety shorts" are considered to be grandma's underwear. When it's too cold or a girl doesn't want to expose her legs for whatever reason leggins or non see-through tights are more common.
Yes of course. No one knew if they would trip and fall, or if it was going to be windy that day. So just as a precaution we wore shorts.
Same, in India it is something compulsory to wear. Although in my school, no one told us directly to wear those athletic shorts. Suddenly out of nowhere teachers started pointing out individually and that's how the rules spread.
