Hum? I hope you feel better.
Not really, tbh. I don't even know you unless you are an alt lolz.
Who would be dumb enough to say tvxq are nugu in korea ?
That's... Wow? How can someone say TVXQ is "irrelevant"? They are still SUPER RELEVANT in KR and Japan
nation's daddies wbk
They are? I’m asking because only this last month I’m hearing this band being brought up.
So tell me are they above or below Exo?
I thought it was now....
Your fandom is the biggest, and your group is the biggest group globally right now. Of course people are going to hate you guys, but that is their problem aka their own jealousy and envy. Just protect your boys, so they don't see it.
People have been saying TVXQ is only relevant in Japan, this is aimed at them, has nothing to do with AKP's stupid goading articles of trying to compare TVXQ stadium tours to BTS.
TVXQ are very relevant as impact in the industry. People don't talk that much about them because they're an old group, I think even older than SUJU in the industry,(but still 2nd generation) but they're the ones who opened the doors for the Japanese market and "paved the way" for Japan, to put it like that. Their hype is not as big as it was before but they're still very succesful as an act and very well-known and loved.
You asked about EXO. As an EXO-L I admit TVXQ's impact is bigger in the industry, but talking about the 3rd generation BTS/EXO/Seventeen are currently at the top. TVXQ is also the 2nd best-selling K-pop act (behind BTS) although they'll probably be 3rd place after EXO's comeback.
My comment wasnt event shading them but mods deleted it.
TVXQ! makes more money than all the other SM groups combined. They sold over 10 million albums in their first 10 years and they are considered the royalty of kpop.
Overall since 2013
SM $1.765B USD (including TVXQ)
YG $1.212B USD
JYP $423M USD
Just TVXQ $955M USD
Spoiler: Some Yearly Breakdowns

They brought back the idol industry after first gen failed and started second gen.
It is fine, I did not see it as shade.
Thank you. I respect you answering because you always give unbiased answers.
I guess I always think like a westerner and don’t know much at all about 2nd gen. Also interesting to hear they are bigger than BB from what you are saying.
How much money EXO brings to SM in comparison to TVXQ? I would really like to see an analysis of this.
TVXQ are not irrelevant at all
they are not from this gen so you can tell that they are not as active as they once were but this will never erase their importance if it wasn't for TVXQ we wouldn't have kpop as we know. They are the biggest BG of 2 gen
they faced many many problems and remain very relevant in JP and KR
I guess you can't compare with the 3rd gen because TVXQ is already a legend, there's no need to. They are extremely powerful even after all, idk what else to say. I just think that maybe in order to understand this better it would be nice to check them out at least their story?
They are very respected and the idol of idols.
I don't know if anyone keeps track of that like they do TVXQ!, you would prob have to compile that manually.
Companies don’t release these statistics but TVXQ has been SM’s top earning group for a long time
There are many debates regarding this, from what I've seen. An older unbiased fan would probably be better at answering this.
Welp, rip my thread. I hope no one sees this comment. Or its gonna be 8 pages of people arguing about if TVXQ or Big Bang is bigger.
