i wanna get into anime, so help me
thats the post
it depends on what u like
What kind of things you like?
Serious, mindblowing plot
Slice of life
i dunno watch Sailor Moon or something
Watch something a bit newer first maybe? Demon Slayer just finished its first season and it’s very good and has beautiful animation. Then if you like that start branching out until you feel like watching older classics like Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Death Note, Clannad or Gurren Lagann. Or even older ones like Evangelion, Sailor Moon and Inuyasha.
Or start with Ghibli movies like Spirited Away if you haven’t seen them already.
Don’t start off with really long series like One Piece, Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, Gintama etc. The large episode count might put you off.
Kuroko no basuke
Akatsuki no Yona
these are great starts I guess, not that long and the animation is nice
if the animation and its 900+ episodes dont scare you away try One piece too
I think Angel Beats! is perfect for a first anime, it's not too short or long and it's a nice mix of many genres
its hard to say that hxh is long when u compare it with one piece and others hxh is 140+ episodes and one piece 900+
it depends though cause you don't have to say "Don't start with" cause it all depends on what others like and do they want to watch something long
one piece is like my 4th anime i watched (in 2017 there was 804 or something like this episodes when i finally catched up(in 6 months))
and i was like "oh nooo now i have to wait "
i am still waiting for hxh and for togashi to feel better
Like me instead, it's easier than watching animes.
FullMetal Alchemist brotherhood
japanese animation movies:
A Silent Voice
Howl's Moving Castle
i like you but ill still watch anime
Simple. Watch Evangelion, Noagami, Cowboy Be Bop & GTO
Yeah hxh isn’t long compared to One Piece but to people who don’t watch anime or are just getting into it, seeing that 100+ can be a bit off putting. It’s my favourite anime but non anime watcher think I’m crazy when I say almost 150 episodes.
In general I think it’ll be easier for a new watcher to start with something good, yet simple and average length. Anime has a lot that can be confusing or intimidating for new watchers so I was just saying what I think would be easier for someone who is just starting.
And tbh I’m losing hope on hxh ever finishing Togashi has worked hard enough in his life, I would not put it against him to retire.
Don't break my heart like that
I'm glad that Perfect Blue was named.
I also advise you Paprika and Spirited Away
The two are not mutually exclusive. Liking both me and anime is the best choice.
My heart would be broken if he did but I feel sorry for the poor man. He’s got those back problems and mental burnout but he still brings out chapters when he can. With no assistants he does every chapter by himself
thanks yall haha. i'll look at the ones you recommended <3
lmao i got my older brother into anime and we watched hxh and when we finished he said "why u didnt show me this earlier"
they think you are crazy when u say 140+ episodes
show them one piece
or no they would think you are really crazy
i agree with u though
like theres japanese humour and not everyone like it which is okay
since its subjective
sometimes i want him to hire someone to draw and he would write the story so it could be finished
poor man but i am still happy that he tries every time he feels better
so i only pick the best choices
