you can measure this in a commercial sense or popularity or whatever u wanna base ur opinion on

but which groups do u think have reached their peak in the industry and cant really see them emulating the same kind of impact again?

Momoland- Bboom Bboom era.. i cant see their music gettin int+ national popularity like that again but im so glad they finally got attention this year.
Red Velvet- red flavour era. theyre always releasing bops but i think this era had the most impact and should be their signature song
winner & ikon - provided rightly crowned national hits with 'really really' and 'love scenario' . idek if theyll be able to top these respective eras especially in terms of national attention
got7 - i think 'Just Right' introduced most of us to them and i forever will love this song. i dont think theyve had a song since then that made them grab everyones attention. 'hard carry' was a good contender i guess.

cant think of any other groups atm, ill add on more if i think of some.

Thats my opinion anyways - i do hope im proven wrong though!

EXID with Up&Down. That song was a smash hit and even after 4 years they're still promoting it in other countries. It's almost impossible to try and top that song. EXID may not be at their peak, but they are still super successful and doing just fine.

    i don't have this feeling

they did their first PAK with Power up, they had the most first listener in the first hours

Power up give them more achievement

it prove that they are far away to have their peak and can still do better

    None of the groups

i still have the sentiment that even if Boom boom will be the biggest success of Momoland they can still do better with another concept

and for the other group they all show that they can still do better
everyone burried BP before DDDD and they came back and kill everything
same with RV and power up

none of the group of 3rd had their peak

not gonna be a dick like some people who just name a group they don't like

i think a group that reached their peak is a group that keep performing their hit song over and over again
exid is one example with up&down
    apink always performing nonono
    girl's day with expectation
    etc

any group on your list still have a chance to go even higher

Momoland - Bboom Bboom is had to top tbh because that was a nationwide song. Their music quality just has not been there for me after that. Though one hit wonders could still be successful. Better than having no hit.

I disagree with the GOT7 though just because I think they're marketed towards international fans rather than just Korea now. I don't think they've had that 'hit' yet, even with Just Right. Though I see what you mean, I might be in denial jfbiegno3gm3

    Red Flavor was RV's peak?

They've just acheived a PAK and 2nd highest ULs in 24hrs for girl groups with Power Up.
And Summer Magic is their fastest selling album

i didnt really focus on the commercial aspect for my opinion for red velvet, i mean theyre one of the biggest GGs rn and theyre bound to continuously make/ break records. I just felt like the whole Red flavour era impact was their biggest/peak. Everyone was singing/dancing to that.

But yeah i wouldnt be shocked if im proven wrong, cause like i said theyre one of the top GGs rn.

You need hindsight to be able to determine if a group has reached it's peak. Like after a respectable period, you go back and look at Baam's impact/how it performed in comparison to Boom Boom. Same with RV, we need 8 to 12 months to tell Power Up's impact compared to Red Flavor. Wasn't Power Up released, like a couple days ago? You're never gonna get an accurate picture when you have such tiny parameters o_O lol

    yeah i get it

but for me Red flavor is more the era when they really start to rise up

it's like SNSD gee was their big hit but for many people their peak was in 2011

for me, this is based on, how much impact i felt during certain eras. although i dont listen to every kpop group, when a kpop song is viral, you kind of just know and can feel the hype.
apink - nonono and mr chu era. you can say remember was ok, but from 2016-now, it's really their loyal fans who are supporting their album releases,
gfriend, around naverilla, although i love fingertip, i feel like anything after that, isnt doing great compared to their eras before naverilla.
b.a.p- 1004, because of the miss management and lawsuit, it basically killed their chance of rising to the top.
twice - cheer up and tt, i wouldnt say their peak is over but more like, i dont feel like any of their title tracks can top off cheer up and tt
fx - electric shock era. that's when victoria and amber was appearing on variety shows and luna had her musicals (well she still does) and sm promoting krystal and sulli as a visual set to make up brands for cfs
yes pink tape and red light are good albums and during those time, that's when sulli got her depression and sm cba with fx anymore... (im not implying that sulli held fx back, because i honestly dont think she did, i just think sm doesnt give a shit about fx)
crayon pop- jumping, anything after jumping wasnt a hit and they were buried by other kpop groups again.
high 4 - honestly their peak was literally their collab with iu (not spring, not cherry blossom, i cant remember the name and that was their debut song as well), that song went viral but anything after that didnt gain any recognition.
