If they aren’t doing exaggerated mediaplay, they’re manipulating something

I don't think it is YG tho. Probably fans bulking. Will be funny if the votes get deleted like during MAMA last year.

Kind of skeptical on this one. Both BP and IKON have had massive releases this year and have gained a lot of fans and popularity. I don´t think its weird that atleast IKON could challenge for AAA. YG might not be a saint of any kind, but I don´t think he would manipulate the votes. Usually YG doesnt focus on awards like this.

    I kinda disagree...

    but at the same time...

    it's kinda believable...

    soooooo...

    yeah.

But I don't think he did. He really doesn't focus as much about these awards.

let's not act like any of this is actually believable. On Twitter, blink fans are mass voting. I don't know about Ikon though.

YG rigging some irrelevant award show? Yeah, not believeable. Fans rigging it? More than believable. That sudden rise? It is not like blinks are only ones active on twitter. Votes are fishy, that's a fact. Maybe not so much for Blackpink but for Ikon? And if you check the ranking, there are some other groups whose rank seems over the place.

I only semi-follow BP related stuff on Twitter, so I can't speak for everyone, but BP fans are going hard spamming voting stuff for this. So, I'm not surprised they are near the top 5 (or in it, idk anymore). It's been a few days and they've been climbing up since then.

Not going to say that I agree with all of it. I think fan voting should have 0 impact on award shows in general, but YG the company has nothing to do with it like the article claims.

Also, I don't follow ikon so idk about them

AAA pre-voting has no limit of number of votes, so any fandom can just pile of the votes by creating new SNS accounts if they wanted to (which is likely done by all the fandoms eligible).

Each person gets 5 votes, you can use different accounts. I've seen at least 10 video tutorials on how to vote for blackpink on Instagram and twitter. Blinks are mass streaming for sure.

Blackpink has a fandom tho. i thought we assured fandoms based on album sales? so yeah BP has a fandom that's probably voting. Ikon has a fandom too but it's not a big one so their votes are kinda sketchy. but AAA is an irrelevant award showed why anybody cares
