This would truely elevate Blackpink and put BP on a GLOBAL scale

Australia be sending Dami flop Im who has small followers on IG vs Rose with 22million+ and has made millions compared to a flop several hundred in sales revenue

YG would reject it before they even got the offer

Okay but Dami came second and would have won if they didn't change the voting system (and also some of the political references in the winning song).
and her fanbase is pretty big considering everything

But I do agree, it would be amazing if Rose represented Australia, but it's sadly very unlikely.

what's good with Australia is that they are very loyal to singers that promote their, much if the singer is an australian too

they also stan harder to blonde singers who can really sing.

And aussies dont even know that Rose is literally their most successful artist after Sia. Shes even more successful than locals like Kylie Minogue (album sales, digital streams, world tour revenue)

Also shes the second most followed Australian on IG after Hugh Jackman.

Makes no sense YG dont utilise the fact that Rose is from australia and promote her as the most successful artist to come out of the nation (she literally is). Aussies would eat her up. Also makes no difference her spending time out of AUS and living in Korea, Aussies eat up aussie celebs who moved overseas like Margot robbie

Also all YG has to do is get Rose on a morning show like Sunrise and get them to do a feature on her, shed blow up. Also features on morning aussie radios interviewing her as the most successful international aussie export

That’d be exceptional promo, but knowing YG it’ll probably not happen for absolutely no reason.

It's a bit of a stretch to say she's the most successful Australian artist after Sia - let her have her solo (if that ever happens), and then we can compare her against the likes of Sia and Kylie.

Most Eurovision acts generally have small fanbases, and that's the way it always has been. :siptear:

Doesn't always equate, the UK sent Blue one year and still did bad, but tbh that may have more to do with it being the UK.

Unsure how it works in other participating countries

But the eurovision candidat in spain is usually after doing a competition (pretty sure that's what operación triunfo is for)

Then the 'winner' gets to sing there as a representative

And i also think it's a way to showcase new talents

Otherwise voting would be rigged by just fandoms and that would be just not right (we know it's a normal thing with kpop, but that's not how it works with eurovision)

That's how they do it in my country, too.
The artists participate in a competition and they get judged by a ESC representative and there is also the public vote. Whichever artists wins, gets to sing the winning song in Eurovision.

hence why Rose participating wouldn't make sense

can only imagine her participating if she was a soloist after a good while

also people would find it off a person that has spent most of her time in s.korea (and only promoted there or the US) and had a successful career over there would represent them out of nowhere

in a way it would be like robbing the opportunity to get a young/not so known artist name out there with an artist that already had an established fanbase

    it just doesn't seem right

eurovision is not so much about being famous before hand to participate though

and pretty sure the artists would need to be living in the country for a while too (being born somewhere is not the same as been living there for a long time)

I've never watched Eurovision but I thought it was just European countries located in Europe to enter.
