NOT AT ALL. Women are raped, killed and harrassed all the time. If you're woman and you walk alone, you will probably be harrased by a man on the streets and people won't do shit, doesn't matter if you're 10 or 60.

Somewhat. I live in the Town Centre and I rarely feel scared. So I feel safe but it’s not really safe. I’d never go outside out night alone. A lot of dodgy druggies and men that would stab you for nothing. Last year in February, people broke into my flat but they ran away as soon as they realised people were here. I live above my bfs restaurant so sometimes I get worried and think what if someone breaks in up here on down in the restaurant. I was scared for days when it happened. I’m over it now and feel safer and everything is secure so I’m not scared anymore.

What?! That's CRAZY!!! I can't imagine. That is literally like my nightmare. That someone will break in while I'm there.

Do they have to go through the restaurant to get to your apartment?

No there’s 2 doors in the back. One to the restaurant and one that leads upstairs. Either they chose the wrong door or just didn’t care. I was extremely lucky that night. It was about 4am and I got up to go to the toilet. As if left the bathroom I heard a massive bang and got really scared and ran back to the bedroom telling my bf what I heard. He went to check and that’s when he saw flashlights so he chased them out and they ran away immediately. It was very scary but I’m just glad they didn’t stay and hurt anyone. If I was a few seconds later or earlier to go to the bathroom I wouldn’t have heard anything...

    No...

6min away by car is a railway and some weeks a go a woman was accidantly hit by the train. Some weeks before it was a young man who got hit by the train by accidant (he was so dumb trying to catch his stuff that got blown onto the railway by wind). Also they broke into the company I work at 3 times in the last 9 months and once stolen also 2K € and broke a lot windows and stolen so many keys. And a year ago they set the store of a refuge on fire just "go back to africa!" -.- The man lost all he had cause his apartment was in the same building. Also I read a lot on the news that there would be a lot house fires in the last weeks in my area and in the next bigger city is a bunch of teenagers from different towns that hangs out there who made many shop owners fear cause those kids steal and break windows a lot. Aso I know a lot of people who have "borderline" syndrome and could randomly turn into monsters if you say something wrong to them ...

Also one of my dormmate (its rumors ok, nothing official) would've been beaten up in the past by her boyfriend and that dude has (rumors) problems in the company cause its said he was using drugs (illegal stuff you know) and be stoned and high at work

I feel quite safe tbh. Of course crazy people and things happen but my area is rather quite and secure for the time being. I used to hang out with boy friends (just friends) from the neighborhood at 2-3 AM and never happened anything, not to me, nor to other girls until now. Of course, I had one moment when I was scared like shit because of a certain thing, but fortunately nothing happened and it occured just once.

During the day, yes. After 9pm, no. I live in Atlanta and there are definitely a few “no go zones” that aren’t even safe before 9pm.

I don't hear the police cars and ambulances that often, so I would like to think I live in a safe place. I remember that people used to say the area where I live isn't as safe, but I haven't really seen or heard anything that has changed my mind. It's a semi-small city, and I kind of live in the outside part of it.

I used to live in a city in Latin America that has a pretty bad rep for gun violence, sudden car thefts, people going missing and what not, so I feel much safer in comparison for sure.

I honestly stopped thinking about that because anything could've happened here lol

Peru. Latin america. The situation here is so fucked up :(

Just few days ago, a 8 years old kid was raped and when her mother went to the hospital with her, the doctor asked her to let him be alone with the child, the mother, young and innocent, did it and the kid was once again, raped.

    You really can't trust anyone.
