No. If you have to make yourself like it then it isn't a good song

I hated Signal on first listen but now it's one of my faves.
Same goes with DNA and BST but I didn't hate them, it was just not tht good on first listen

I usually listen 2 or 3 times for a song to understand the path. Then I will decide its good or not.

Sometimes. But my threshold for whether a meh song gets a second listen is if I find myself humming the beat or repeating the hook or whatever. Sometimes I'm just not in the right mood for something the first time I listened to it.

But I've never gone from hating a song to liking it. At the most extreme, I've gone from "meh" to "eh, this isn't as bad as I first thought." And I never listen to a song deliberately just to get used to it so I hate it less. Way more songs get axed at the 20 second mark and never listened to a second time than songs that I'll give a second chance.

Yes, just like how you can start to hate an overplayed song.

Sometimes, it depends on the setting. A song heard on the computer might sound infinitely better with headphones on, vice versa, a song may sound better in surround system car than in your ears. Hence, your perspective on a song might change at that moment.

Yes a lot, sometimes I don't like a song on the first listen but when I hear it again I start to like it.

And it's not called forcing yourself to like it, because I usually like songs on the second listen ok, not like 10 times on repeat:p

Yes, not everything comes to a liking at first sight or hear. When you meet a person sometimes you get along with that person instantly, some others tend to get some more knowing in order to click with them and some people you just cannot relate to or like.

It happens all the time with me. Boom Boom, Not Today, even Cherry Bomb grew on me after listening to it twice.

I think it varies. For most songs, it usually grows on me. It took me two listens to really like Love Me Love Me by Winner and a couple of listens to get into Gashina, Signal and AIIYL.

Only if I have mixed feelings about a song can it grow on me. If I absolutely hate upon first listen and can't convince myself otherwise on the next three minutes, then there is no hope
