Okay, so for those of you who DON'T know, which I'm assuming is most of you, lmao.

Disney is getting their own streaming service, and it is starting THIS YEAR! Which means at some point, much like NBC did, they will be pulling all of their intellectual property off Netflix. Including the classics, their shows, and of course everything Marvel.

So, who's following Disney, and who's going to stick with Netflix?

Me personally, I think I'm going to stick with Netflix for now. At least until Disney builds up some content because Netflix just has a better variety. But, Disney+ is cheaper.

I don't know how long that's gonna last though because a lot of the big name companies are dropping Netflix and starting their own thing. They are in trouble, lol.

So, who are you gonna pick? Netflix or Disney?

True, but sometimes the quality is a little yikes. I prefer HD.

I prefer it too because I prefer subtitles to understand the English better but them being idiotic and stubborn splitting everything up into multiple services is not sth I am going to support and is really annoying

there are quite a few good ones out there when you look.

Too much work tbh. My virus software isn't strong enough.

And, I was thinking the same thing honestly. It's like, if everyone gets a streaming service, what am I supposed to do? Pay 5 different services $6.99 when Netflix had the bundle for like $15.99.

Like, Disney, you really think you can stand on your own with Disney Channel shows and Marvel alone. I've seen The Little Mermaid 20 times. I even have it on VHS, and you want me to pay for it again? I-

I dislike that these big companies have their own platform for their films and/or TV shows. I understand the business side of having their own ecosystem but it fractures the viewing experience, at least for me. If I want to watch Marvel shows, I'd have to have Disney+, if I want to tune in to Doom Patrol, I should go to the DC Universe service or I should have Shudder for their horror exclusives. And it's not like you're just surfing channels either. You have to take the extra step of deciding whether the platform is worth the buy in. I'd rather have one, unified platform or offered a package service for all (if not most). I'd would prefer that but that wouldn't happen for obvious reasons.

Per the topic, as much as I like the Marvel (and Star Wars to an extent, I'm a casual) side of Disney, I can't see any other value to their service. Plus I'm not sure I actually have the time commitment to watch all these shows on top of all the shows I am already watching. Another is I don't see them carrying any shows that would rate higher than a PG which in of itself is not a bad thing but that's something the other platform have on offer.

Disney+ is not in my country yet. But when it arrives, I really have to think about this. I follow a lot of animations and tv shows from both Disney and Netflix, sooo... Yea.
