I think this is done respectfully and I like it. The women look good and the cars look even better.
Some people don't care if it's done respectfully or not.
They take pride in some elements of the culture of their ancestors, like they personally have some kind of merit from it, like they personnally invented something, or like it defines them.
They take offense because you use these elements as a costume, but forget that clothing is always that: a costume.
I like it when people dedramatize clothing and codes. No matter who it offends. Carnival celebrations were invented on this basis.
Do you consider this a culture or just a fashion trend?

Would this fall into cultural appropriation? I thought it was cheesy and entertaining, wasn’t offended by it. They weren’t acting out anything disrespectful imo, it was just very cheesy.
