Really? Last I heard Shuuka retired so there's 5 left? I didn't know what they disbanded.
thats what i've read from some translation. maybe i heard wrong information lol
I hope they didn't because out of all the LDH girl groups (including E-girls) I like their music the best even if it's just Reina singing lol
i think majority of people will agree with that lmao
The kind of whimsical yet traditional sound works well for them. I think that's why I never got into Happiness (although Juicy Love is a bop) plus I was always annoyed by Karen for some reason that I don't know.
I dont have anything against the girls but the producers sometimes annoy me.
LDH in general. they really are either hit or miss. same like exile tribe songs,
Yeah same I don't know if I just grew out of my love for E-girls' songs but the new songs don't do it for me anymore which is weird since I was jamming to fucking Odoru Ponpokorin and Rydeen back then.
yeah i don't like them either.Odoru is more bubblegum and new releases are experimental. especially those 2 collabs with PKCZ what kind of tragedy was that
at least Showtime had fun dance accompanied with it.
I dont look at the credits, but whoever produces for Hiroomi should produce for the girls aswell (maybe him ? lol) , cuz his music is the only one that is not messy as fuck last two years.
I'm fine with the experimental sound since my music taste is literally a blender of random shit but yeah something about their new songs just seems weird and not pleasing to the ear.
I haven't really dived in to EXILE yet but from what I've heard from Hiroomi's songs his songs are really good. I guess it's easier to compose for a soloist than a group?
Also sorry OP we hijacked your thread lol
It's fine, your conversation is interesting I'm not creepy I promise
Yeah i know. i absolutely agree about their new songs sounding weird lol.
Yeah that could be the reason aswell. But J.soul brothers in general (if we ignore Flower) have the best discography among LDH groups
OK let's start (And you will get the full load, because I'm a huge JPop fan)
Different to how I normaly would post about groups I listen to, I start this time directly off with my 2 most favourite groups.

Yuta came to Tokyo to study music as he was 18 years old
Kento autitioned for a Korean entertainment and was nearly addet as a trainee due to he ranked #18 out of over 10,000 participants but he gave up and became a musician back in Japan

Lin ownes a dog
Yuki was a solist even before he came to MADKID
I'm sorry that this took so long and I will post not that fast because my laptop (wich is only 5 months old) has somehow a problem with the wifi and so it takes me for everything like 5 times so long than normaly (Jes I started this post to write 1 hour before it was finished)

Oh and if you ever wanted to know how it sounds when you cover a English song into Japanese...
And they being SHY SHY SHY ... Twice-Cheer up dance cover
And here is them as they tried to debut in Korea:
(Ooof took me some months since I know the group to figure out they actually sung a lot in the song in Korean. I mean they sung a sentense in Korean after the "Welcome to the shuffle" and the rap is Korean/English )
And here is a song from their subgroup...
Here are some of the more KPop-sounding Japanese songs I like:
@JiminieKookie This is WAY more than I expected! Thank you so much!
Most of these recommendations are...
If you want to follow Japanese music don't look for idols or groups most of the time they're some of the most mediocre parts of the genre for the most part the Japanese industry is much more focused on soloist and bands
AAA is the only act that people recommended that I agree with.
I've actually liked most of the recommendations people have given so far! I know the industry is very diverse in terms of music and I wasn't sure where to start.
Thank you for these, I like the songs you posted!
