Yeah, the group's a bit too clubby for me but I really like Hiroomi!
The Rampage is a subunit of Exile Tribe? Is that right?
yeah they have some slower songs aswell, but club music is their signature sound.
its not for everyone
no it doesnt work like that. its a bit more complicated
exile tribe is the main group, there are 7 groups under the branch , but not all are the part of EXILE main group.
from each of those 7,only the best ones can advance into the main group, so they're part of both , like Hiroomi for example
hes part of exile tribe, j.soul brothers and soloist.
Also the concept is with unlimited members aswell, but they usually switch when someone leaves, i dont remember them adding randomly members (or i've missed it)
thats how they keep the legacy ongoing
i guess SM was a bit inspired by that aswell. but EXILE is a household name since late 90's so they're in a whole another league lol
One of my favorite jpop groups
Solos from AAA members
Do jpop groups usually have convoluted lineups?
I've heard of them, but never checked them out! They're good
and exile concept isnt difficult to follow honestly. since they separate vocalists from dancers
Rampage has 3 vocalists and J.soulbrothers 2 vocalists
im pretty sure that people don't know dancers as much as they know vocalists
It's not that I didn't understand it, it makes sense.
AKB48 on the other hand...
yeah AKB is different and way out of LDH groups league when it comes to talent lmao
To enter LDH you really really excell in dancing and singing. Although the e-girls are kinda messed up with vocals with this line up thats why they're holding new auditions for vocalists.
these are the LDH girls:

There are a lot of different music styles in Jpop! It's really great to see!
lmao yea there are
ifans just are too lazy to search for it. i also like them
to be honest i don't know where to begin to convince someone to stan jpop as a whole. the japanese music industry is the most creative and artisticly diverse one in the world imo, so i will just share several songs i have been into of late. if you're interested in any of it ill try to help you find more.
I knew that jpop was very diverse in terms of its music, so that's why I made a thread so that people could post different songs. The only one here I didn't really like was the 4th one, which I would have loved without the screaming. Thank you so much!
the harsh vocals is why i love the 4th song
I would probably get used to it
E-girls messed up when they only focused on certain vocal members instead of giving other vocal members lines in the title tracks. Chiharu and Kyoka were wasted in that aspect (I was really sad that they left Flower)
BTW to the person who asked what LDH stands for it's Love, Dream, and Happiness.
Speaking of Flower here are my favorites from them:
AKB and their sister groups are on a different class compared to LDH groups though. LDH is more based on skills while AKB's concept is "idols you can meet" so they're more relatable in a sense that not everyone is gonna be a good singer/dancer but you can watch some of them grow to better performers in the future. There are some talented members in AKB48 it's just that at the end of the day, it's still going to be a popularity contest. It's overwhelming when you're just starting to get into them but I think once you find your kami-oshi it'll be easier. They're really entertaining though especially in AKBINGO but the show can be problematic in certain episodes especially in some of the older ones.
Thank you so much!
I've tried to get into AKB before but it was difficult because I usually use iTunes to listen to music and they're not on there. I'm going to try listening to more of their music though!
well flower doesn't exist anymore
and afrojack launched new gg audition this summer so im guessing some of them might join e-girls
i only showed active group atm. btw. they will appear in Korean Asia Song festival. i hope they perform Showtime
