SM: their Vocals is probably the thing that comes up + Their Deer type of Visuals.

JYP: their weird unique singing Technique, and their groups being totally different from each other.

The way I look at these companies :

    SM - Great vocals
    YG - Rap and "swag"
JYP - Catchy dances and GP-friendly music
BigHit - not sure about it yet, I would choose rap for them as well, since they have BTS, but since they also have TXT and G-Friend they're more varied

SM - experimental, try a lot of new things, usually start trends, overall most talented (in my opinion), they have a group for everybody since groups are really different from each other

YG - like u said rap, girl groups = girl crush, boy groups = usually more public friendly then others

JYP - girls are public friendly, boys really depend on which group we are talking about

The rap part is more a Cube thing. Yg is more about swag and letting their idols rot in the dungeon

    Yeah, they do. Sort of.

Depends more on if they're using the same songwriters and producers over the years.

Cubes style is they don't make idols they make artists or something to that extent...I forgot where I saw it and likely won't ever be able to find it again but that's the gist of it.

It's been like that since Beast I think, not entirely sure... but currently BtoB, I-DLE and Pentagon are all self produced for the most part and I believe some members of CLC are learning MIDI, I know Sorn is.
