c-netz are worst than k-netz. Honest to God. They bash Tzuyu so much for something which wasn't even her fault. Its awful to read c-netz comments!

c-netz are always super sensitive about anything that's related to China, nothing new

but well she apologized quickly so it'll be hopefully swept under the rug soon

TBH, she said she loves the country, but that statement really doesn't say Hong Kong = country.
For example, I could post: I love Seoul! I love this country so much!

That's 2 separate statements. One is my love for Seoul, the other for South Korea.
I don't think anyone would read that comment and be like "Seoul isn't a country!"...
    Only C-Netz and their over-sensitiveness...

She didn't actually call Hong Kong a country, though? Country is a word with different meanings, one of which is to refer to an area of land in order to talk about its physical features. It was nice of her to not just respond with "learn English."

(And besides "I love this beautiful autonomous administrative division!" doesn't roll off the tongue quite as nicely.)

Yet I doubt anybody ever will say it in this context as Hong Kong is too different from mainland China and is not associated with China by foreigners. Though I agree with the previous comment about no political meaning intented.

If she really meant it like they think she did, THIS is why we NEED to let K-pop stars go to SCHOOL!

Damn it, if we stopped trying to debut kids at 13, maybe they'd get a DAMN education!

And, if she didn't mean it like that, people are just looking for something to drag her for. Probably 70% of the comments are female.

C-netz are so unreasonably nationalistic, it's absolutely sickening. Hong Kong may be officially a part of China, but they have a different government system, currency, flag, and even Olympic team. Many Hong Kongers (like myself) view Hong Kong as a country as well.

Side note: China has a habit of claiming land that they believe is theirs. *eye roll* Same situation with Taiwan even though it has repeatedly declared itself an independent nation. I hope this Somi issue doesn't explode like Tzuyu's.

C-netz (and also k-netz for that matter) are always so quick to call an idol stupid or retarded when they make a mistake. Its only when it comes to politics or social issues that they conveniently turn an idol's stupid mistake into some kind of political conspiracy. Seriously, more likely than not, Somi just made a stupid mistake. (like when people think Africa is a country).
