Just rolling my eyes are people who don't know better.
Based on stuff I’ve seen think, of the gang signs as a way to “rep” Daegu which is his home town. I don’t know if he means it like the way 21 Savage would but it’s his own way of repping where he’s from.
Honestly looks like he's doing the ol' shocker, which is definitely NOT a gang sign.
Koreans celebrities especially idols do all kind of poses with their hands when taking pics so does he even know hes doing gang signs? Probably not. At worst hes imitating some american rapper. Like im not american either and I dont know anything about gang signs.
If hes doing sth potentially dangerous with his hands he should stop though.
Do you remember this?
They all look like they were gonna shit their pants . Babe no ,this shit will happen if you keep shooting those signs.
yoongi has been doing that same pose with his hands for a long time
it's not new
and the joke from armys about it being gang signs have been ongoing
it didnt just start in america
boy could have been repping his home town for all we know ffs
but since y'all are so bothered by it
he can always bring back this one:
In case anyone was still in doubt:
can y'all stop now
I thought he was promoting 2ne1.....
And that is that ladies and gentleman <3
thank you for finally being quiet after seeing that your faves also throw that same sign up
next time try not to throw bts unnecessary problems
stop over thinking it
honestly any hand sign can be translated to any gang sign
i mainly seen that sign used representing the “east side” just like the west with the w
and no gang casually looks for trouble unless they have purpose
they can recognize those who belong in the streets and those who dont
It is actually a sign for the peace, love, and unity foundation. He is definitely not throwing gang signs
*When you listen to Gucci Gang one time*
what? now a peace sign is a gang sign?
It is a sign for the peace, love, and unity foundation.
I get such extreme secondhand embarrassment when people try to drag BTS then turn out to be wrong. I remembered reading this was the emeka sign but the fact that it took 3 pages for someone to point it out is sad. I just think it's really ironic that people try to pull the "pocs have it hard" card to try to make BTS look bad when you were entirely incorrect and just assumed it was a gang sign when it wasn't? People assuming a korean is being racist when they're not is what's actually racist
This hand signal is also the hand signal of the university of houston. It's also called the shocker. I'm sure it has numerous other meanings as well in different cultures. But go ahead and assume it's some sort of racist gang sign that offends or stereotypes pocs if you want, it's not like the university of houston that currently has 74% nonwhite population uses it and that apparently also must mean they're all racist just because you are biased against a kpop group and want to drag them somehow so that means whatever you assume is correct
this guy really out here tryna get shot by some crips and bloods LMAOOOOO
bro i swearrr cali probably got the most gang affiliated people. there are over thousands of crips and bloods that will really run up on em im gonneeeee
