It'll be like a game of Ping Pong between BTS and BP lol Let's see which group will widen the gap. My money is on BTS because BE is coming.

Im pretty sure BTS will win this one, there is no need to post everytime one surpass the other or not, both have huge figures there. The best in the world rn for music artists in general atm
Youtube charts include user generated content and most people are interested in official videos only. Kworb on the other hand does not have consistent criteria on what is included and what is not, it doesn't include some official mvs, but includes some content not related to music at all, so it's very unreliable. The only way we'd now their official view count would be if someone started their own database and kept it updated. Just thought I should post it here, since I already said it in another thread related to this.
Yeah, people keep posting this, but kworb really doesn leave out some content for some and includes more for others. Like BTS has less videos for some reason than BP which is just weird.
Probably not, thats why Youtubes own charts would be most accurate imo, since they at least use Youtubes internal music IDs.
Yeah, it used to include stuff like bangtan bombs but they got filtered out in summer 2018 I think. Tbh I'm fine with that since kworb is centered around music and those videos are just members messing around. It's just weird that it only applies to bts, for other acts it's fine to post videos of them eating, walking around, idk what else but not related to music. I'm just hoping there comes a day when people realize how useless it is and stop using it. Same with all of the made up itunes charts, those annoy me even more.
Yea, tbh discussing yt on akp forum is dead bc everyone thinks its a useless and skewed platform. But everywhere else its a big measurement to success even tho they have no idea how it works. Yt is in a little bit of a limbo now even tho it is the most used platform for streaming. They shld introduce a more legit and accessible chart
They have charts. Its just that they interpret user generated content as a valid measure of artist/song popularity. Even Billboard used to include user generated YT content. People can disagree, of course.
The made up itunes charts I think at least are clearer about what they include, while some people think kworb has some absolute truth about YT views.
casual fans/ listeners/ general public which makes up at least 70% of a groups listeners sees yt as a measurement of popularity. Its only hardcore fans/ppl who actually analyse this kinda stuff will think that it might not be legit. If u go ard asking a random person how they see how big a song is, they're just gna say yt viewz which would be the first thing that comes to their mind. I have plenty of frens like that and honestly idk what to feel abt it
