Is it the original Rania singing the songs or no? Like the ones that weren't sung by BP Rania but the original songs by hte original Rania...are those ones sung by Rania? NOT BP Rania.
For those who are not familiar with RaNia, the group is currently on it's second generation, officially called "BP RaNia". Their debut was a single entitled "Start a Fire" - with both a Korean and English version. The single also included a remix of a previous song, Killer, as well as a new song, "Make Me Ah" which they're currently promoting. The current lineup is: Yina (Original Member & 1st Generation Leader, Sub Vocalist, Dancer) Jieun (Former LPG Member, Vocalist, Dancer and Korean Leader) Yumin (Popular Model, Sub Vocalist) Z.IU formerly known as Seulji (Lead Vocalist) Hyeme (Main Vocalist, Maknae) along with 2 foreign members: Ttabo from China (Sub Rapper, Lead Dancer) Alex from America (Main Rapper, international leader)
All of the songs are sung by the original group, with the last 3 songs (Start a Fire, Make Me Ah and Killer Remix) sung by the new generation. Only Non BP RaNia song that has any of the new members is Demonstrate; Zi.U, Hyeme and Alex debuted with the song in 2015 with Di, T-ae and Xia.
Okay I love Rania's original content, but I'm broke so I can't buy this even if I want to listen to the original group.
Are you it's only the second? I think it's Rania's 3rd or 4th generation 1st generation: That would be the original members (Saem, Jooyi, Riko, T-ae, Xia, Di, Joy) 2nd generation: Joy leaves, the group becomes 6 (whether you consider this a new generation is up to you) 3rd generation: Saem, Jooyi, Riko leave, RaNia regroups with new members: Alex, Hyeme, Seulji 4th generation: T-ae, Xia, Di leave, Jieun, Yumin, Ttabo, are added, Saem returns, group is renamed BP RaNia
This is the kind of collection I would expect to see from a top tier group like SNSD, Brown Eyed Girls, or T-ara. 80 bucks for a RaNia album seems kind of....well, do they even see their chart positions?
u mean do they do well charting with there music? nope ther only decent song was the song yg produce for them ( i think it was tablo not too sure)
In you want to get technical.... 1st Generation (Baby Vox 3): Sori, Data, Riko, Xia, Tae 2nd Generation (Baby Vox 3): Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Minhee 3rd Generation (RaNia pre-debut): Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Saem, Jooyi 4th Generation (Pre-Debut): Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Saem, Jooyi, Sarah, Joy 5th Generation (Pre-Debut): Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Saem, Jooyi, Joy, Yi Jo 6th Generation (Dr. Feel Good): Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Saem, Jooyi, Joy 7th Generation (Pop Pop Pop): Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Saem, Jooyi 8th Generation (Style): Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Saem 9th Generation (Just Go): Xia, Tae, Di, Saem, Jooyi 10th Generation: Xia, Tae, Di, Jooyi, Sharon 11th Generation: Xia, Tae, Di, Sharon, Hyemi 12th Generation (Demonstrate): Xia, Tae, Di, Hyemi, Seulgi, Alex 13th Generation (Start a Fire): Hyemi, Seulgi, Alex, Ji Eun, Saem, Ttabo, Yumin
Pre-debut doesn't count though... The Style and Just Go examples don't really count, Jooyi and Riko were on hiatus, they didn't leave the group. And...who's Sharon?
If you want to get *really* technical, you have to start from Baby V.O.X > Baby V.O.X Re.V > RaNia > BP Rania and count all those generations in-between. Gen 1 Baby V.O.X- Hyun Jun, Shi Woon, Yumi, Kim E-Z, Hee Jin (1997) Gen 2 Baby V.O.X- Kan Mi Youn, Shi Woon, Yumi, Kim E-Z, Hee Jin (1997) Gen 3 Baby V.O.X- Shim Eun Jun, Lee Gai, Kim E-Z, Kan Mi Youn, Hee Jin (1998) Gen 4 Baby V.O.X- Yoon Eun Hye, Shim Eun Jun, Kim E-Z, Kan Mi Youn, Hee Jin (1999-2004) Gen 5 Baby V.O.X- Yoon Eun Hye, Kim E-Z, Kan Mi Youn, Hee Jin (2004-2005) Gen 6 Baby V.O.X- Kim E-Z, Kan Mi Youn, Hee Jin (2005-2006) Gen 7 Baby V.O.X (Baby V.O.X Re.V)- Myeong Sa Rang, Han Aeri, Yeon Kyeong, Yang Eun Ji, Jin Kyeong (2006) Gen 8 Baby V.O.X (Baby V.O.X Re.V)- Jin Kyeong, Eun Ji, Yeon Kyeong, Sori, Min Jin (2007-2009) Gen 9 Baby V.O.X (Slated Baby Vox 3rd Gen)- Sori, Joo Yeon, Kyeong Seok, Tae Eun Gen 10 Baby V.O.X (Slated Baby Vox 3rd Gen)- Sori, Data, Riko, Xia, Tae Gen 11 Baby V.O.X (Slated Baby Vox 3rd Gen)- Riko, Xia, Tae, Di, Minhee Gen 12 Baby V.O.X (RaNia- pre-debut)- Riko, Xia, Tae, Saem, Jooyi, Di Gen 13 Baby V.O.X (RaNia- pre-debut)- Xia, Riko, Tae, Di, Joy, Saem, Yi Jo Gen 14 Baby V.O.X (RaNia)- Riko, Xia, Di, Tae, Saem, Jooyi, Joy Gen 15 Baby V.O.X (RaNia)- Di, Tae, Saem, Jooyi, Riko, Xia Gen 16 Baby V.O.X (RaNia)- Riko, Tae, Xia, Di, Saem Gen 17 Baby V.O.X (RaNia)- Xia, Tae, Jooyi, Saem, Di Gen 18 Baby V.O.X. (RaNia)- Tae, Di, Jooyi, Sharon, Xia Gen 19 Baby V.O.X (RaNia)- Xia, Tae, Di, Sharon, Hyemi Gen 20 Baby V.O.X (RaNia)- Alex, Seulgi, Hyemi, Di, Tae, Xia Gen 21 Baby V.O.X. (BP Rania)- Alex, Ji Eun, Saem, Ttabo, Yumin, Hyemi, Seulgi During the RaNia eras (around between "Demonstrate" and "Start a Fire"), there were the temp members Sarah, Minhee, Crystal, Ji An, and Data. Ji Yo and Sori were going to participate to some degree at one point.
All of RaNia's comebacks had a member leave or go on hiatus, but it always had the same 7 girls from debut.Demonstrate could be seen as a new generation since half of the team was new but the group was still very much RaNia since the other half were veterans. BP is the second generation because it was (initially) the only lineup to have new members - But Yina aka Saem came back. Still, DR Music still recognizes this group as "new".
They're doing it because thats what fans wanted. They asked what international A1ST wanted and a compilation album and merchandise was #1. (All of their previous albums have been discontinued so this is a rare chance to own their songs physically). Ingeniomedia is a pretty notable distribution label headquartered in Spain and worked with DR in the past but the plans fell through (A Saesang fan name Candy aka A1ST Central leaked the song, harassed the group and DR's own stupidity). This time, things have been going great. They communicate to the label on behalf of international A1ST (via twitter) and hold polls and Q&A's to ask our opinion. They also worked hard to allow us to buy music through them to have it count on Korean charts. The majority of BP RaNia's fans are foreigners, which DR Music acknowledges. Right now, Ingeniomedia is planning to have the group perform overseas. BP RaNia may not be doing as good as some others, but compared to RaNia's streak, they're doing better.
Some irrelevant chick with an awesome ass that was supposed to be Saem's replacement. She left before she could debut because she had the god sense to jump off the sinking ship.
*Style So what about their chart position. What you're getting is an album. An album with amazing songs packed with killer vocals. Jooyi is undeniably one of the best kpop vocalists to ever debut in a group.
No arguments about Jooyi. DR Music lost big time when they lost her. No doubt that RaNia's original line up was the total package, and their songs were dope, but they most likely aren't going to be seeing any sort of payout from this album's sales. Once you leave the company, your recordings, videos, and images typically become property of the company, and they are usually free to profit from them without any obligation to the original artist. It seems like a bit of a dick move to sell an album where more than half the songs feature artists that aren't being compensated...
Speaking of RaNia and its past members, Jooyi's solo song "Don't You Worry Bout Me" is fucking lit I honestly hope she makes and releases more music in the future...and with albums, not just singles
