    Heyyy guyssss

I probably made a thread like this already but eh

So just answer the poll and let's discuss. I realized users here actually don't think it exists so let's have a nice civil discussion.

    No fighting guys.

Oh and I'm pretty sure it exists. But hey this is an open thread so I won't make a long explanation.

I just believe in it. Alot of evidence. Its there

I think it exists for bad groups in the big 3 as they tend to still have a big following.

    What do you mean?

Like only certain groups experience it?

    Yes and no
There is this thing called big 3 - whether it is a privilege or not, should be discussed individually (each case at its own)

Gosh, I might get glares if I say this, but I don’t think it exists. If a group is horrible, people won’t like it either way.

First of all, crying Jordan as your dp LMFAO
But once they debut, I think they definitely have an advantage, especially because their companies have so much money and influence over the industry. Money is the most important thing in the end, after all.
It's really hard to even get in to a big 3 company, and even harder to debut once you've gotten in though. So those that do debut have worked just as hard as anybody who's succeeded from a smaller company, just saying.

yeah, it exists. a big company has more money, more experience, more power ( made by the three things said before ). of course has more eyes on itself.

Of course it exists, it's so obvious lmao. Then we can discuss if it's everything good, to be in the big 3 have some consecuencies too, but to deny that the big 3 privilege exists is delulu af.

I think it does exist. Groups that debut from big3 companies have much more followers when they first debut than non big 3 groups. Even big 3 groups that are considered "flops" aren't really flops.

On the other hand, you have to take in the fact that it's much harder to debut from a big 3 company to begin with because of increased competition & other things that could factor in.

It doesn't exist, the competition to debut in the big 3 is just huge, most trainees barely even get a chance to show themselves. In smaller companies you may be less likely to make it after debut, but at least you probably will debut, and that still doesn't change the fact that big3 groups aren't even guaranteed to make it big, look at got7 and day6 for example, look at nct and red velvet's early releases, look at ikon's recent comeback and winner's exit e comeback.
Doesn't look like privilege to me

I may not be a once, but those guys can like them because of their personalities or because of their visuals (or they like cute songs, but eh)

Well after reading all the posts
I think your big 3 privilege differs from mine.
So I'll just say what it is. If you disagree that's okay

Big 3 privilege is when a group has more resources.
    Every group works hard
No one knows what goes behind the scene but big 3 privilege is this:

Just debuting with a steady fandom and high album sales
Being able to go to award shows just as they debut
Being able to go on variety shows
Being treated very good on variety shows(okay this one is directed to a specific show)

I'm not saying you should accept this meaning this isn't really accurate but I think that's pretty much what big three privilege is having more resources

Yeah,Big 3 groups do get an advantage that they get that initial exposure. Their debut doesn't go unnoticed as with many nugu groups.

But non big 3 stans who use it as an excuse to act like their faves are the only one's that have worked hard to get where they are and that their efforts are the only one's with actual value need to WAKE THE FUCK UP

Yes, groups that would utterly fail at other companies because they lack talent can be successful just because the big three promote them like cheap beer. I'm not talking about actual talented people in the big 3 like Epik High etc.

It applies to idol groups only. Bands and soloist usually don't get as much hype anyways.
