Theoretically it would seem that white-Korean female idols with nice visuals would have better overall careers. At least from the basis of Koreans preference for Western-like features. Yet those I recall all had one issue or another in their idol journey. Tia, Melanie & Julliane (Chocolat) - First officially recognized mixed idols. Tia had good buzz going 7 years ago but their company was too nugu and badly mismanaged the group that they all disappeared. Tia seems to want to get into showbiz again but Nancy probably already filled her spot. You snooze you lose I guess. Somi - Her potential with JYP and as ace member of Twice’s upcoming sister group was huge. But for non-disclosed reasons she’s out of the company. It will be difficult for her to strike gold again, like she did while at JYPE. Shannon - Maybe doomed from the start like Dani just for being in MBK. She had a decent debut but has been on extended hiatus ever since. She got into a racist controversy with ifans for certain statements she said about blacks. Kyla - There was some hope for her but it vanished quickly with criticisms on her weight and body type. Then a big feud between her and her brother which spilled onto SNS and it involved cuckolding, racism, STDs, and solicitations of incest. Incredibly “messy”. On top of that she’s no longer active with the group and that might be permanent for her. Nancy - So far doing fine as top 3 most popular in Momoland alongside JooE and Yeonwoo. Unfortunately for her the other 2 have stolen some of her thunder because technically Nancy would automatically be most popular as the main visual. Yet she’s lagging a bit in the hype recently and it was only made worse with the failure of Baam capturing BB’s success. At least she’s considered a “goddess” in the Philippines. But in the ifan realm she tends to get hate for her perceived malicious personality and racist family background.
