is it important to have a leader or do you think it is kind of unnecessary?
They are the ones who are meant to speak for the group and be the emotional support for the members
Mamamoo without a leader would turn them into terrors
If there are many members then yes if maybe they're of 1-6 members then I don't think they necessarily need a leader but then again it's the company's call.
I think is unnecessary... at the end the companies are the ones who have the last word.
Definitely, they are the bridge between the managers and the groups. There must be someone to represent the group, someone who will take responsibility for the group, keep the members "in check"
I know TWICE are led well when JiHyo is there, not so much when she was injured
So I just saw BANG CHAN led Stray Kids, and it takes a leader to motivate and supervise a group.
I think it's really important to have one person that is sort of the pillar in the group, and that is usually the leader. With how stressful and agonizing it can be as an idol it's a must in my opinion.
I do think it's good to have an established leader otherwise it might lead to disputes within the group. Of course the leader has to be chosen well.
hmmm why you see it as unnecisary ?
its not hurting anything if its not needed
Leaders are usually the oldest members of a group, and due to Asia's "Hierarchy" of elders, leaders are therefore needed to support their younger members as well as ensure internal issues are resolved, which young members can respect.
Leaders are also the "captains" for the group during concerts, events and other appearances etc. Everyone knows their place/timing and so on, but the leader should have more awareness of the other members and guide them etc. I have seen a number of times when leaders guide the younger members during concerts, events and other appearances etc.
If no one was to lead a group, multiple members could try to lead at once and if there are differences/disagreements then it could get messy during any sort of situation... Essentially, leaders are very important and always will be.
I think it's important for every group to have a leader. I know some groups don't have one which is fine because usually one, probably the oldest, takes charge
It kinda creates a center in a way.
Maybe except for EXO, I cannot imagine Suho being in the center. Although I can't imagine anyone of them being in the center, they're not one of those groups where a single particular member stands out. If they do, they just stand out all equally.
Yes, otherwise this happens.
Yeah leader are definitely necessary. I think a lot of groups would fall apart without one. Especially the bigger ones.
I think it's always nice to have in a group someone with leadership, but the question is: does every leader have leadership? some seem to have been chosen so randomly...
The whole leader-Hyung line-maknae line thing is what make K pop interesting.
We got narrative and identify idols with it.
In real life, on every occasion I encounter, group leader is needed to ease up communication. I dont understand people who said its not important.
I actually thought that the 'leader' aspect was something really interesting in produce 101
having a good leader seemed to really help the group a lot and kept things organized within the group
that's mainly why Jonghyun leaped to such popularity despite barely doing anything on stage, since he showed good leadership skills and held the group together
