Anyone agrees that k-pop 2019 is incredibly stale?

Just this year with incredibly overhyped releases but i just can't seem to get myself to enjoy them as much as previous years. Boy With Luv was basic as hell, KTL was cute but they've already done similiar stuff like this, Twice's ''maturing'' with Fancy and Feel Special just doesn't seem like that much of change to see it as something revolutionary for the group and K-pop. Red Velvet doing a similiar release schedule as their most succesful year 2017, Experimental, public friendly and im guessing they are doing dark concept again for their next comeback. SuperM was the most overhyped release of all time and it didn't live up to expectations. 4th gen groups playing it EXTREMELY safe this year with songs like violetta, crown or senorita. MAMAMOO and WINNER barely trying to show they're on top. AKMU released a snoozefest of an album. Female soloist are doing okay this year i guess.

Like the only memorable things this year were Dalla Dalla and maybe Zimzalabim because of how messy it was. but like that's it. like 2018 wasn't so great either. If i look back, the last golden age of K-pop was 2015 - 2017. We had the 2nd gen in 2015 delivering top notch albums before the 3rd gen takes over. EXO was musically on their A-game back then, EXODUS is still their best album, debate me. We had RV delivering one of the most iconic debut full albums ever, we had total twice domination, Likey was the first song i got to like of them. Blackpink's debut single is still their best in their discograpy, try to change my mind on that. and in 2017 it was just HIT after HIT after HIT. And my girlies delivering their last album before a few members left the label. Like 2015-2017 were some of the best years for k-pop we ever had. But damn 2018/2019 is just so stale. We rarely see anything new or interesting nowadays. Or not even that, just those years released some incredibly catchy bops, K-pop is maybe trying to be overcomplicated nowadays, or trying to revamp itself. Just NOTHING iconic is happening.

And also i'm just generally seeing a trend of K-pop pandering more and more towards western audiences. Like 2015-2017 were very ''typical'' k-pop. but this year it's definitely leaning more towards western styles

2019 was stale indeed, i liked some few releases but it still wasn't like in the recent years back.
No big suprise effects this year, thats true.
But 2019 was still a really wild
    roller coaster ride.

Kinda agree that 2019 is a very weak year for kpop. Also, anticipate TXT Run Away :3

doubt it. seeing how most mainstream groups have failed to hit big on the charts and seeing not a result like previous years. people have been talking about 2019 being stale a lot this year
