It's one of the genres I listen the most to in Japanese music. I used to like visual kei too, but now I dislike it because I don't like the sound nor their voices. One Ok Rock (Ryota<3) and Scandal (Mami<3) are my favorites.

Same as Iko over here. ^ I mainly followed the GazettE but these days I'm into ALDIOUS. They're my favorite J artist and are just so badass. T_T Love em to pieces.

I'm most familiar with UVERworld, I absolutely love them. Fave songs are Just Melody, Koishikute, O Choir, I Love the World...everything from them really.
I also like songs from ONE OK ROCK, L'arc~en~ciel, Alice Nine, and Abingdon Boys School. I do want to look more into the older generations of JRock, like older than L'arc~en~ciel, if anyone could recommend some. I'll definitely be looking into the bands already listed as well.

My faves have pretty much already been mentioned, other than NICO TOUCHES the WALLS. They're my absolute faves. I also really loved Stereopony and High and Mighty Color before they broke up T^T

Also, Hyde's second band VAMPS. I got to see them in concert and was slayed out of my mind

I started listening to more J-rock last week. I've benn listening a few songs before, but last week was crazy. I downloaded like 60 songs, mostly from The Gazette, Alice9, L'Arc en ciel, Girugämesh, One Ok Rock, Gackt and Malice Mizer.

The concert, Carolina Rebellion, was just up the road from me last weekend. BabyMetal blew the crowd away and twitter is still abuzz about the performance. I wanted to go, but couldn't make it.

Yeah it seems like everyone doesn't have that great expectation when it's their first time seeing/hearing them and they always blow people away! I personally felt the same way and they instantly became one of my favourites!
