Hi! I am a kpop fan since February 2019. I was encouraged to stan kpop groups since my friends keep on sharing my ultimate group TWICE. Now, I diversified into a mutli-stan. I now follow many groups like Itzy, Everglow, CLC, LOONA, and my new favorite IZ*ONE. Seeing them perform and guest on reality shows makes me happy. Since then, I have always a daily Kpop dose despite I'm currently studying.

How did you get into Kpop? Please let us know.

    Thanks!

    Hello!!!
i got into kpop through my cousin last year in November - the day after Thanksgiving to be exact. lol. she would constantly show me pictures and videos of BTS even though I told her to stop so I wouldn't get addicted also. Sure enough, I soon was.
One thing to mention was that I had terrible depression last year. She had had depression too before - and BTS's songs really helped her. She thought that I needed to hear them to. And she was right.
I really don't have depression anymore. Well, slightly I guess - but not near as hard.
While trying to get me into them, she showed me a part of a K-Drama called "Hwarang" where BTS's V is acting as a young man and he "dies". To tell the truth, I never really get grossed out around blood and I used to think blood was cool. So obviously, I loved his acting skills and how he died (grabbing hold of a sword that's covered with poison - getting it into his bloodstream - and collapsing)...
and so... I was hooked. and I love BTS and kpop and don't feel ashamed one bit.
lol - so there you are!:)

My ultimate bias is Lee Chaeyeon. She is the best kpop dancer imo and a great personality as well. Other biases include Kim Minjoo and Sakura. How about you?

I love how kpop cured the depresion in ourselves. Kpop is truly our happiness. I wish kpop will be recognized by more people in the world.

me too. literally everyone I know finds "faults" with it - though there is no faults that I see or want to see. lol - i don't know how to make them realize that it's the best thing in the entire universe.

The reason I think is that western people can't accept the fact that kpop is getting more famous. For me, kpop is still the best. No one can beat their performances. From thier amazing choreographies and great vocalist to their hit songs, and also their great personality off stage, it is impossible to dislike them.

Ahn Yujin is my ultimate bias, you just happened to join at a time, where my profile picture happens to be another member (Chaewon looked to awesome, I could t resist it), normally I’m known as the Yujin girl here, as I usually have a Yujin badge, DP, and sig.

I actually love the two starship trainees Yujin and Wonyoung. Yujin is such a nice person and talented as well.

all of my friends were into Kpop except for me, I play the guitar so I was into Eric Clapton, BB King, John Mayer, etc. Then one night, I was watching the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, his musical guest was Blackpink. After that, the rest was history, my entire music studio is filled with Kpop stuff lol.
