While people are praising that Twice appeared on an Ellen Show segment. People forget that Amber was part of a popular Girl Group from SM Entertainment but now she has been downgraded to be a translator for the interviewer. This is a sad time for f(x).

Damn. I can already hear the "Jobless" comments already.
I'm not a fan of Amber, that's really fucking sad. She deserves more.

    Maybe she wanted to translate
Not all kpop idols have to stay in kpop
Clearly she deserves better with f(x) but has no one noticed she has a solo mixtape out?

I just hope Amber is happy where she is, whatever she’s doing

She had a meet and greet like a little fanmeet thing there so that was the main reason.
She wasn't there just to do that little translation job.

I think she did have her own thing at Kcon and was just there to help out for a bit with translation.
I'm a translator. It's not THAT sad of a job.

I HATE IT they belike if KPop was only famouse in the US outside of Korea... Hello the world has 193 other countrys besides South Korea and the USA ! And apearantly from what I saw on the streets and noticed from online KPop seems to be a thing in Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Britan, the Philippins, Singapor, Japan and some other places too urg why do I feel like if everyone wanted to avoid the world and just make it smaller like US-A and Korea exist, but the rest of the world would be invinsible?

There's nothing wrong with being a translate? Plus she wasn't there solely to translate, she had her own stuff going on there too

She might actually enjoy it. Having been in the kpop industry and being a popular idol for so long, some stars might actually feel tired and let the next generation shine. Sushi is a good example. They haven’t disappeared, but you can see that they do not comeback as often. It might be true that their company have invested less and given less attention to older generation idols, but considering the attention that they recieved and the money that they already earned, the treatment that they receive after hiatus actually isn’t as bad as what a lot of hardcore fans thinks..... (the money that they earned might be a lot more than what normal people earn)

I’m not fx’s fan. But the Amber I know is chill and super down to earth, I don’t think she would mind, or else she wouldn’t take on that job.

Exactly. I wish I could be a translator. It's a great job where you get to travel, learn, improve your language, and possibly meet interesting people. And you get paid for it too.

I understand your point, but K-Pop spreading to America is seen from a business standpoint. One of the best ways for an industry to make lots of money is to figure how to take Americans' money. Sure being popular in Europe or South America is very good. Unfortunately those nations don't have the spending power that Americans have. When I was at this past KCON, Twice mentioned they returned from a five country tour in South America. To Twice members it's a great experience to travel outside of Asia, meeting their fans around the world. But for their company, JYP, they want to break into the American market for them U.S. dollars, just like PSY did for YG.

She was doing her own stuff besides the translation, so I don't see why this is some big deal.
