Viral video footage of the male dancer, Lim, grabbing a woman's head while dancing during a performance on the evening of November 12, made netizens furious, causing them to flood Lim's SNS with hate comments.

After the issue blew up with the media, Lim took to his SNS to write an apology, but even the apology has been subject to scrutiny. Lim stated that his "busking performance is concept-based, created through thousands of performances over the past 8 years while communicating with the masses. It is an energetic busking where we all joke around, laugh, dance together, and shout."

Lim continued, "My intention was not to create a violent scene by grabbing the head of a civilian passing by, but to approach an individual who seemed to be enjoying the performance by clapping enthusiastically as to share an even more entertaining experience with them through bigger, bolder motions."

The dancer further admitted that he has performed such acts on multiple occasions, and should his actions sometimes cause discomfort for the civilian, he promptly apologized. According to Lim, the individual he grabbed on November 12 "smiled at him" after he "returned her to her place". He continued to state that he does not discriminate genders when selecting audience members to perform with, but netizens pointed out that even in past footage of Lim's buskings, the audience members who ended up being chosen happened to be women.
