1. Midnight in Seoul
Cereal is a staple breakfast food here in the States, but the craze has his South Korea by storm! Pictured here is Midnight in Seoul, a cereal cafe located in a Gangnam neighborhood near Apgujeong. Frequented by idols like Amber Liu, J-Hope of BTS, Jackson Wang of GOT7, and others, it seems everyone has fallen victim to the combination of bright and pastel colors adorning their organized interior. But fear not if you're an older K-Pop veteran because though Midnight in Seoul serves cereal from 6 AM to 12 PM, the cute pastel shop turns into a bar from 6 PM to 2 AM.

An earthly delight! A little ways away from Midnight in Seoul is Cafe 413 Project. Combining delicious food with a cozy and serene atmosphere, this little cafe is sure to garner some attention on social media. Cafe 413 Project boasts both terrace and balcony seating where a quiet working environment is guaranteed. A mini-getaway from the bustling streets of Gangnam!

3. Mui Mui
Located in Sinsa-dong, this classic cafe boasts a more upscale environment. The main attraction of the cafe is the large tree lying in the center courtyard of the cafe, creating a calm and comfortable environment for reading and sipping your favorite latte. Besides serving coffee and tea, the most popular item on the menu is the Injeolmi Patbingsu, a bean powder ice frost dessert!

Mui Mui is located at Dosan-daero 51-gil, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
4. Charlie Brown Cafe
With one cafe in the city and one at Incheon International Airport, people are bustling to get a photo with life-size Charlie the melancholy boy and Snoopy the lovable beagle! This Peanuts safe haven is yet another example of Seoul's obsession with themed cafes. The Charlie Brown Cafe serves all kinds of Peanuts related food. Whether it's in the cake in the shape of Snoopy or a latte with Woodstock adorned on top in cocoa powder, you're sure to get a cute Instagram picture to show off!

Obsessed with Brown the bear, Coni the rabbit, Sally the duckling and Leonard the frog? Well, worry no longer! The Line Friends Cafe & Store in Yongsan-gu has your fix for the cutest Line items from stuffed plushies, phone cases, and clothes to cakes, smoothies, and ice cream, the Line Friends Cafe is a Line fanatic's dream come true. AKP TIP: More of a Kakaotalk fan? Check out 'Cafe Talk' in Seochu-gu.
6. Retro Oven
Hidden deep in Gangnam is the small hole in the wall of Retro Oven. The head chef studied bread-making in Germany and adapted the Korean fondness of light airy white bread with the taste pairings of European breads to create the delectable loaves at Retro Oven. Instead of the traditional layout style of breads, Retro Oven has decidedly mounted their breads on display to excite our sensory systems. The blackboards are then updated to show both the price and times in which the next batch of that type of bread will be baked fresh. Sounds like a carb-loving minimalist's dream come true.

Retro Oven is located at 34-33 Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
7. Kumo Cheese
Colorful ice cream is pretty last season don't you think? Don't let the name fool you, Kumo Cheese isn't a gross cheese-infused oddity. In fact, Kumo Cheese specializes in cheesecake, but their claim to fame isn't their mouth-watering cakes or coffee shop aesthetics: it's their squid ink infused ice cream. This head-turning, double-take inducing black ice cream cone is called the "Devil Cone" and can be seen in the hands of many all over the streets of Hongdae. Get there early, because SBS has claimed that Kumo Cheese sells hundreds of cones a day, making it a hot spot for vacationers and locals alike.

Kumo Cheese is located at 403-3 Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Follow Kumo Cheese on Instagram: @kumocheese403
8. Deep Blue Lake
A minimal's comfy personal nook. Despite the lily-white interiors and tasteful pops of color, the outside of Deep Blue Lake is as the name describes: painted entirely an icy blue. With an attention to comfort, the inside of the cafe is decorated with flowers, foliage, and fanfare. Serving up freshly roasted beans, coffee, espresso, cold brew, Dutch process, and more, Deep Blue Lake gives the feeling of a Western coffee shop whilst overlooking the streets of Mapo-gu. It's great for the coffee purist who loves to sit and enjoy a cuppa.

Deep Blue Lake is located at 411-12 Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea Follow Deep Blue Lake on Instagram: @deepbluelakecoffee

AKP TIP: Not a coffee fan? Order the pound cake and milk lattes!
9. Blacktaste Handdrip Coffee & Tea
Though the inner decor is not as showy, where Blacktaste Handdrip Coffee & Tea lacks in interior design, they make up for in presentation and taste! Their simplistic leaf accents paired with their natural wood and white enamel serves for a clean and well-lit photo! A short walk from Sang-su station, this cafe in Seogyo-dong, is filled with treats for coffee addicts and matcha lovers alike. Show off your sense of the local scene by taking your friends to Blacktaste!

Blacktaste Handdrip Coffee & Tea is located at 411-12, Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
10. Coffee Arco
Another chic and minimalist design with a focus on heavier colors contrasted by gleaming whites is Coffee Arco. Located in Gangnam, Coffee Arco's signature item is the Orange Latte (pictured above) which boasts a cute orange slice resembling the sun. With a neon sign adorning the words, "Do What You Love" posed near a stark white wall accented by green foliage, an Instagram opportunity wasted would be foolish!

Coffee Arco is located at 516-10 Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
