Kim Min Joo (33) is clearly a victim of an improperly executed nose surgery; however, the hospital in charge of the procedure claimed that it is not their responsibility.

On the November 7 airing of 'Story Hunter', Kim Min Joo's shocking story was revealed. Kim states she originally visited an otorhinolaryngology to treat her rhinitis, but during the consultation, the hospital also offered cosmetic surgery to make her nose higher. She accepted the offer and agreed to go under the knife. After the surgery, she was quite satisfied but only for a short while until severe side effects slowly surfaced. She had trouble sleeping due to the inability to breathe, while blisters started to form and oozed out of her nostrils.

Kim called the hospital; however, they claimed that it is a normal side effect and would soon subside. The only treatment the hospital recommended was using an over-the-counter ointment. Unfortunately, the hospital was wrong. The side effects only worsened, and the bones in Kim's nose eventually collapsed. She ultimately had to undergo another procedure at a different hospital, where she used her skin from her forehead to cover up her nose.

After the second surgery, Kim went to the hospital that ruined her face but was only greeted with anger. The hospital told her to stop coming and stated, "Let's stop talking about this. If you can't accept [your surgery results], then just sue us."

Kim, heartbroken, hopeless, and dejected, expressed her dire emotions on 'Story Hunter', stating, "Will I be able to get married? Or make money? I really think my life is ruined." Unable to stop the tears, Kim also stated, "I just want to be pretty."

I mean part of me is upset at the hospital because they offered the surgery and they messed it up...but another part of me feels like this kinda thing is what the woman should've been ready for? like im pretty sure beforehand they have to sign a form and be ready to accept whatever happens? ugh but then again plastic surgery is normal in korea so it must seem more i guess, "safe" (?) like i doubt anyone ever thinks there would be a problem because surgeries are so common. anyway, poor woman. i feel bad for her. i wish she can learn to love herself the way she is and hopefully this whole thing can get sorted out.

No, when you accept a surgery with its associated risks, you don't accept medical negligence, which is what this is.

This is a legal matter. Stop with the pity as justification for shaming. All patients sign a contract prior to surgery, that includes this woman. The minute that paper was signed, she essentially committed her nose to the doctor operating and the hospital. The hospital did nothing wrong, (she got what she paid for, which i assume is a low-cost nose job as any legit place wouldn't fck up a face that badly). In fact, the hospital even SAID: "If you can't accept your results, then sue us." The hospital IS NOT afraid which reinforces the fact that a legit contract was signed, too bad so sad for the lady. This is a LEGAL matter, NOT moral. She signed the deal.

shame on the hospital.  they conned her into a cosmetic surgery when all she went in for was to fix a medical condition.  also, blame it on their society for their ridiculous beauty standards.

That hospital or doctor needs to be exposed and fired!! The way he treated her just shows how little he cared

Katieheartfelia Tuesday, November 8, 2016

i think they should close the hospital

Poor girl, she'll look that time way until it can get fixed. She should sue them. Their attitude sucks.

Seriously NO, How do u go in for rhinitis and they offer you a plastic surgery procedure on the side -_- Like NO. Those two should be in different departments, the doctor shouldnt be offering that together. how do u even suggest to change her appearance, she probs didnt think of really getting a nose job b4, but was like "hey, why not. I'm here already". Poor lady :(
