"Using corporal punishment has been banned in Korean schools since 2012." Only for four years?! Welcome to the modern world, Korea.

Question, how is the student's attitude? Because looking at the generations we have nowadays, some do need to be hit.

The students attitude could be horrible but that teacher still has no right to hit the kid especially over homework.the student should be punished in a non violent way(but I get what u mean by some of generations shitty attitude)

You're talking western culture there. In Asia there still teachers who walks around with a stick. What is non violent anyway because the verbal argument teachers and students use nowadays are more violent to the mentality more than a stick does to your skin.

kinda  depends on how hard he hit him though, and that's not really a club, but a stick. But still... even though the punishment is only meant to cause pain and not actually injury it's still a pretty fucked up punishment. Also... hitting someone 500 times is somehow pretty amazing.. it probably took him an entire hour to actually complete that punishment.

Completely unacceptable. No homework is worth being hit 500 times. There is nothing a child will learn from that except that there are cruel people in this world
