A soldier is being praised for his kind action, helping a man with a mental disability.

The Republic of Korea Army's official Facebook page uploaded a photo with the story of how Private Bae Byung Jin encountered a man with a disability who was crying by the ticket office because he did not have enough money to purchase a ticket.

The private asked the  ticket agent to use his credit card to pay for his and the man's train tickets. However, the credit card was declined due to an error.

Moments later, Private Bae came back from an ATM machine with cash and paid for the disabled person's train ticket.

An employee at the train station took a photo of this and the story became viral. Many are praising this young man for his small but significant action as an example of true kindness.

I think it is unfortunate that an act like this is being praised and is not the norm. I think soldiers (and police officers) SHOULD do things like this. They are both being trained to protect and serve the people of their country. Not just the land and government, but the people as well. This should be expected of both but unfortunately it is not. This private did a good thing that all people in his position should take note of. This is how you serve your country.

That"s a bit unrealistic the soldier is using his own money to help someone out here. You can't expect every soldier or police officer to pull out money out their own pocket to pay for everything. This one has a kind heart and helped where he could so yes he should be praised and the story should go viral so others take his lead. but we don't need to expect that HE HAS to do it because he is a soldier, no a soldier needs to be able to save civilians in case of war or disaster not give his money.

Of course someone like you will focus on the monetary aspects of the story because that is the divisive issue that keeps you from doing anything decent. It could have been $50 or it could have been $5. That is not the issue. He did something I hope anyone in his position would do. But you keep focusing on money because obviously that is the most important aspect to you.

Or maybe he's focusing on the monetary aspect because that's how the soldier helped the person? Helping someone without sacrificing anything yourself isn't nearly as impressive. Get off your high horse.

The aspect that you're emphasizing should be a HUMAN trait, not just soldiers and policemen. As for the money? Why should soldiers and policemen be required to pay like that? Why don't you do it?

Whoa we got a big shot over here. Can I borrow $5 richman?

It is unfortunate that this is being praised because it should be done by everyone, not just soldiers and police officers. Yes they are public service people but their job does not require them to give up what they have for others. Helping others is not something set aside for certain people, but for everyone. It's very unfortunate for you to think like this. Shouldn't matter what job you have, everyone should help others.

I always did this too ^^

Yeah, you're so kind that you disliked my positive comment towards this man? Interesting, liar ;)

Firearmy And_I_Quote Wednesday, October 12, 2016

Because you are rude to me

And_I_Quote Firearmy Wednesday, October 12, 2016

I'm "rude" to you because you're disrespectful to every group on this site. Trolling isn't nice nor is it wanted. Do something better online.

Can I high five you now? Also here is an upvote for! =)

That's beautiful. What a kind man :')

So I guess Taeyeon putting up a post of a rainbow is more important than this awesome act of kindness... This is what is wrong with the world... Shout out to the soldier that helped this young man... You are a true example of what people should aim to be like...

Firearmy MissMichele Wednesday, October 12, 2016
