South Korean Olympic gold medalist Jin Jong Oh, who boasts an incredible 3rd consecutive gold in men's 50 meter pistol shooting, opened up about meeting and conversing with athletes from North Korea in a recent press conference.

He began by sharing, "I joked with North Korea's Kim Sung Kuk, telling him, 'If you see me from now on, act like we're close.'" Kim Sung Kuk, who is 6 years younger than Jin Jong Oh, earned a bronze medal for North Korea in the same 50m pistol shooting category in Rio. Just after earning his bronze medal, Kim Sung Kuk told the media, "If the North and South were to become one, united nation, than both gold and bronze would belong to us."

Jin Jong Oh also shared an account of conversing with North Korea's Kim Jung Soo, also a pistol shooter, who came up to Jin Jong Oh and said, "Why did you do so badly in the 10 meter category?" after Jin Jong Oh recorded a poor score. The South Korean shooter then refuted with, "Hyung, you didn't do well either, did you?", and Kim Jung Soo replied, "But I'm old." To that, Jin Jong Oh laughed, and remarked back, "We're only two years apart, so what are you talking about age for?"

What are your thoughts on the prospect of a united Korea competing in the Olympics?
