The Huffington Post Korea released surveillance footage of an old man being ganged upon and mercilessly beat up.
According to what Dobong Police Station stated on August 4, three men, including a 54-year-old man identified as 'A' inflicted battery against 70-year-old Lee and 59-year-old Kim in an apartment complex in Seoul's Dobong District.
Police revealed that the men got into an altercation with Kim when they tried to place personal locks in a public restroom. Lee, reported to be the security guard of the apartment complex, had intervened in an attempt to prevent a fight from breaking out, but the men allegedly threw their shirts off, threatened Lee with the scars on their bodies, and assaulted him.
When police arrived. they arrested 'A' on the spot but the other two men had already fled the scene.
Kim suffered injuries that will take a total of three weeks to heal while Lee suffered wounds that will require him to stay four weeks in the hospital.
It was revealed that Kim has been involved in ongoing conflicts with the proprietor, a 60-year-old woman identified as Choi, regarding general maintenance of the apartments and the public restrooms.
Choi was also booked for calling on her relative 'A' to assault Kim and Lee.
