A controversy has arisen over the actions of one traffic cop.

On June 1, one community focusing on cars posted a dash cam that showed a motorcyclist on the right side who was cruising along when suddenly a policeman pushed him so that he and his bike skidded into the middle of the road onto oncoming traffic. Luckily, the car stopped in time so as not to hit the rider, but it could have have been a very dangerous situation.  The policeman walked over and helped prop the motorcycle back up while its rider walked to the sidewalk.

It turns out that the motorcyclist had not heeded the law.  While the cop was shouting, "Stop," the rider did not listen, and the policeman took matters into his own hands by pushing him to a halt once in reach.

Seeing this video, citizens were torn.  One side stated, "This is clearly excessive action by the police . . . I cannot understand why you would force a transgressor who did not threaten any lives into a situation in which his life was threatened."

Another side stated, "The policeman's life may not have been in danger, but the lives of the citizens who were waiting for the light at the crossroad to change were in danger . . . Even though the policeman sent him a sign to stop, the transgressor tried to flee, so something to this extent was necessary to stop him."

the statement makes zero sense since the motorcyclist was literally neck to neck with every single other car PLUS why would all the cars behind him including the the person who filmed this still be driving if it was the pedestrians turn to cross?

He shouldn't have done that even if he the driver was wrong. His action could have led to dangerous consequences. He didn't think about the safety of that person nor the other drivers on the road. He simply put their lives at risk.

What they both did was dangerous! Breaking the low and impulsive action in anger. Somebody could've gotten hurt.

It kind of looks like the motorcyclist was in the lane where the officer stood.  But I do not think it was necessary to push the cyclist into on-going traffic when the officer tried to jump out of the way, he probably shouldn't have jumped towards the direction of ongoing traffic, that clearly didn't calm him down.

wtf why would you push someone into the road?

isnt it a moped? anyways, it looked to me like the bus obstructed his view.  didnt see an idiot standing in the middle of the road, so he swerved to avoid him.  but then, that idiot pushed him cause he had a superiority complex.  but if u look, where he was pushed...if he was pushed that much more he would have been hit by that car in the next lane.  lso looked like he scolded him while he was down before he tended to the bike.

u can also see he was on the side of the bus which was obstructing his view he was trying to by pass it without getting into the bike lane as it looks like i think the driver was trying to pass the bus but didn't have a change and then he saw one so he was about to take it. and as he was he saw the cop and the cop edge closer. trying to avoid the cop he u can see the motorcyclist try to swerve out of the way when he sees the cop and then the cop lunging forward.  i do not know what the cop was thinking probably something stupid and he reacted as incorrectly.

why does the cop think that he can walk in front of a moving vehicle that is going no less than 30mph and tell it to "stop". Pabo cop -_-
